Same as TFFP's thread but just wanted to see what you all thought on this. This fight gets brought up in every Mayweather thread so lets sort it. Have to go out in a bit but I remember scoring this fight when I was still pretty 'green' as a boxing fan and scoring it for Mayweather 114-112, look forward to having another view. :good
took this from an old thread in general where I scored it. 1) Mayweather 10 - 9 2) Mayweather 20 - 18 3) Mayweather 30 - 27 4) J. L Castillo 39 - 37 5) J. L Castillo 48 - 47 6) J. L Castillo 58 - 58 7) Mayweather 68 - 67 8) Mayweather 78 - 75 (JLS deducted 1 point) 9) J.L.Castillo 87 - 85 10) Mayweather 96 - 94 (PBF deducted 1 point) 11) Mayweather 106 - 103 12) J.L.Castillo 115 - 113 So I has to 115-113 to Mayweather. 7-5 although i admit Castillo's round were clear wins, a few of Mayweather could go either way. I NEVER EVER SCORE EVEN ROUNDS BTW. the commentary is very bias in this fight. I urge to score with the volume turned off.
Haven't seen that fight in a long time... I remember scoring it a close Mayweather win at the time but will re-watch and score again this afternoon!

May 10-9 JLC (even round on my scorecard, JLC with a point taken off) 9. May 9-10 JLC 10. May 9-9 JLC (May's round on my scorecard, May with a point taken off) 11. May 9-10 JLC 12. May 9-10 JLC Floyd Mayweather 114-114 Jose Luis Castillo Very close and good fight, I can see how people can score the fight for either Mayweather or Castillo.
This was a week ago. Sorry LHL, I'm not going to put any timeframe on it now. I'll just watch the fight whenever I get time :good
I'm in work and forgot to score it again. I remember last time I scored it having it 2 rounds to Floyd. For me I think Floyd definitely won it. It was close and Castillo pushed him, but I think it was more of a case of a bad day at the office for him rather than Castillo having his number. A point which I think is proven by floyd rematching him in his next fight and beating him more convingly (even though I remember it being scored closer :huh). I think people just make more out of it than what actually happened because it's one of the only times you can pick a hole in his performance
Excellent fight, thanks LHL:good Rnd FM JLC 1 10 9 2 10 9 3 10 9 4 10 9 5 9 10 6 9 10 7 9 10 8 9 9 9 9 10 10 8 10 11 10 9 12 9 10 112 114 to JLC
