Perez outworked Agbeko that fight. Clear win.

Heres one that I will stand by.

The Irish Boxing thread on the General forum is the most knowledgable, informative, well behaved thread on any boxing forum. :deal

Here is another that will choke a few.

Murray would stop Mitchell in a rematch!

    BIZANG!

Yeah I said it, and what!

:deal I watched it last week, it was the best fight that I'd ever watched. Then I watched Morales vs Barrera III today and that for me was better than the first one (well, my memory is a little hazy) and at least on par with Márquez vs Díaz I.

I've always thought Morales/Barrera I was the best, personally. It's fought at such a high intensity, the tempo is insane, and I don't think the others match that.

Roy Jones Jr is a much better commentator than both Manny Steward and George Foreman, who are pretty weak.

As I said, I can't really remember Morales vs Barrera I (even though I watched it a couple of months ago  ). To be honest, from what I had heard about the fight before watching it, I was slightly underwhelmed. It was a very good fight of course. I might quickly flick through it later just to check.

Well, whilst watching these fights I've obviously listened to Jones a lot and he was quite good back then. I'm not sure about being better than Steward but I prefer him to Foreman.

He was giving some great insight during the Ortiz/Peterson fight.

Some fights aren't to everyone's tastes. I was underwhelmed slightly by Castillo/Corrales I, even though that was a great fight.

I was watching Junior Jones vs Orlando Canizales of 96', with Roy on HBO as the main co-commentator, and he really is top notch and spot on with everything he says. I think he's a brilliant analyst and commentator.

He was crap on-screen early on and talked about himself all the time. Being humbled has worked wonders for his attitude and apparently he turns up for meetings now. But he is a gifted analyst, although I think Tarver is better.

Hopkins is getting in there now too.

True but he's yet to have a "Don't do it, son!" or "Oh my gaawwwwd!" moment.

I was quite impressed by Mora's commentary on FNF the other week.

    Tarver or Jones, Scouse? :think

Yeah, Mora was decent. Too quiet though :yep.

I was discussing that the other day, and I think I slightly favour Tarver. I enjoy Jones's insights, and he often picks up on things that the others don't, but Tarver is the better 'commentator' IMO. He describes the action better than Jones, I think. I know it's dodgy to say, but Tarver is also a bit clearer and explains what he's talking about in a more understandable way, for me (you can blame Tarver, Johnson, Green and Lebedev for that :-()

    What about you?

Yeah I'd agree with that. I think Tarver is a bit more of a natural behind the mic.

Tarver is consistent. Jones Jr is hit or miss sometimes.
