Same here. Thats why I asked the question. I have Frazier above Tyson mainly because of the Ali win.

Ribalta could take a scary amount of punishment. He could have made it the distance with Tyson that night, which is miraculous considering some of the shots he took.

    1. Ali
    2. Louis

    3. Lewis
    4. Foreman
    5. Holmes

    6. Holyfield
    7. Tyson
    8. Frazier

    9. Marciano
    10. Charles

There's my brackets. Fighter inside the brackets are essentially interchangable, apart from 1&2. E.g I'd no have no qualms about having either Frazier, Tyson or Evander in the no.6 spot. I'm pretty happy with Foreman>Holmes nowadays.

Yeah, 3-5 is solid in whatever order (I have Holmes above Foreman though). I don't think I have Charles mine....

Charles, Tunney or Johnson could be in that place. Liston, Dempsey and Langford round out the top 15, with Floyd Patterson at 16 (off the top of my head)

None of the British ''class of 2008'' will win GENUINE world titles.

there never has been a body puncher in the heavyweight division like Mike tyson, the shots he caught Ribalta were brutal.

That's not controversial.... that's fact :yep

There haven't been many good body punchers in the heavies at all, certainly not compared to the lower weights, say from welter down.

It's going to be a lost art too unless the amateur game changes, much like dominating an opponent with the jab. Why bother learning it if you lose fights because of it?

I consider Lewis the best head to head heavyweight we've seen

Also its not all that useful in the ams because its a four round fight and usually body shots reap rewards later on in the fight.

As long as it "works" in the pro game it'll keep being a used tactic. That said, people who scored Kessler-Froch for Froch clearly don't give much credit to bodywork!!

I don't think so. My list is in a thread on here somewhere and I'm sure I have Frazier at 8 and Tyson is below him.....maybe its Marciano I don't have in it.

    I'll try and find it.

Yeah, im sure pros know the value of good body work and develop it during their pro career.

But thats not to say that amateurs dont know how to body punch. they might not be using it in a fight, but they will have learned it in the gym and sparring.
