Convince me that Rocky Marciano beats Lennox Lewis and Oleksandr Usyk

I am an enormous Marciano fan, and do think he would beat a lot of "modern" heavies, but I don't see him beating either of these two.

 

Lennox is just too big. Physics.

 

And why? In my opinion Lewis and Usyk had the right characteristics to beat Marciano. But, as always with fantasy matches, we can only make predictions, we'll never know how it would have gone in reality. So I think every opinion is legitimate when it comes to great champions like these three.

 

Marciano probably doesn't beat them.

But that doesn't mean he is not an ATG. Its just that some size match ups are too difficult to overcome.

I give Rocky a good chance of lasting the distance vs Usyk and perhaps even winning 1 out of 3.

Lewis is a bad stylistic match up for Marciano and would stop Rocky every time.

That does not mean Rocky isn't an ATG. Its just that even ATG's have weaknesses.

 

Done this already in the case of Lewis. The trick is to pick a really bad version of lewis

Ok. He had bone-crushing power in either fist and the stamina to throw 94 power punches in the 15th round of a fight. Any man in history who would sleep on him in the early rounds would be beaten.

 

If you want to play this game, fine, no problem. Marciano would have beaten Lewis and Usyk because he had great power (he won 43 of 49 fights by stoppage) and his famous Suzie Q would have knocked out Lewis and Usyk, same thing for Ali and Foreman against Rocky.

 

Marciano’s crouch stance and awkward head movement made it hard to catch him clean at long range, so Lewis’ right hand is out of the question and his jab won’t be as potent as it normally is. With those gone his feet alone won’t be enough to stand against Marciano’s pressure.

At close range Lewis simply lacks the cardio to last. He was struggling against a faded Holyfield on the inside, especially against his body shots. Marciano’s body assault similarly gets to him and he had far more work-rate, pressure and energy than a 1999 Holyfield.

Thats pretty much the best I got.

 

He enters the ring with a spiked baseball bat and three of his mates as back up.

 

Why do people still keep comparing Marciano to fighters way larger than him? If he was as bad as so many claim, you all wouldn't still be wasting your time with these absurd matchups.
Lennox would have been about 70 lbs. heavier than him. I don't know about the other name since I haven't been following boxing closely anymore.
Rock was a small cruiserweight by today's standards.

Beats them both, easily.
McCall and Rahman aren’t near as good as him, and they beat Lewis. Marciano weaves past the jab and knocks out the paper chinned Lewis.
Usyk had problems with Chisora and even Bellew, Usyk beat him comfortable enough, can you imagine what Rocky would do to him? Brutal 2nd round ko.
Rocky beats both these guys, unbeaten for a reason, the greatest.
