    this is an easy scenario liston pummels cooper for half a round before coopers corner man throws in the towel as this saves cooper from getting beaten to a pulp:think

    this fight would never happen,i remembering reading in boxing illustrated in the mid 60's.henry cooper would never be put in the ring with 2 fights 1 of who was sonny liston the other was george chuvalo

    But, if Henry Cooper finished the job on Ali in June 1963.

    That bout with Sonny in Wembley Stadium would have drawn over 100,000, and
    that would have been a $10,000,000 fight gross, with closed circuit revenue.

    Thats alot of Dollars and Pounds.

    Nice perspective. Instead of that we had lousy thrilla in manila, phantom punch, rumble in the jungle, crappy boxing poetry... :D

    Bigjake is right, Cooper's management considered Liston to be bad medicine and would have never put him in with Sonny.
