I thought with Del Boy and Tyson on the card it would be a sell out but there looked like loads of empty seats.

    Any estimates on the attendance?

Presuming a lot may have left early? Fight went on to midnight and people wanting to get last tube etc?

Frank doesn't sell it out there sadly. It's a really sore looking spectacle. I'm not sure Chisora vs Fury will sell that much. I think it will be a slightly smaller scale version of Mitchell vs Katsidis.

Just because we are being told the Fury Chisora rematch is a big fight, doesn't mean it is. I'm not particularly bothered.

its was pretty empty all night but clearly some more left after the Fury fight because of the last tube and all that.

How many people does the Copper Box hold? 8k? I can't see Frank renewing with them to be honest.

As for Chisora/Fury I don't think it's a stadium fight (even at Upton Park). I say it gets shifted to Wembley Arena if it happens.

    Agreed.

I think they should aim for an arena that holds between 8 to 10,000, anything more is a stretch. Is the Albert Hall still a no go for boxing? that would be a great arena for this fight.

Tyson and Chisora are tv fighters in that they put bums on seats at home but not ticket sellers live.

Infact haven't Tyson previous fights usually been small arena shows selling 2k or 3k?

I think at it's fullest there were probably 5,000 there as it looked pretty full just before Buglioni fight started.

Also the Copper box is pretty terrible for boxing and the problem is there are always so many different sections of fans that once Skeete's fight finishes, his 500 fans leave, once Keans fight ends his 500 fans leave and once Buglioni's fight ends his 1000 fans leave which is probably half the audience.

Was pretty poor apart from the top 2 fights and those fights didn't exactly look mouthwatering on paper even though they turned out better then expected.

The April card at Copperbox is already looking miles better.

Liam Walsh vs Gary Sykes - Guaranteed barn burner
Ian Lewison vs John Mcdermott - Decent domestic Heavy dust-up
Billy Joe Saunders vs Matteo Signani - European title
    Tyson Fury vs TBA
    Hughie Fury vs TBA

The rematch could be big if it was getting hyped on sky

Sky exposure for Tyson fury would be classic

Surprising if it wernt a sell out as tried to get tickets last week and the only place selling them were the tout sites

i'm guessing they are not doing themselves favours by putting on cards that finish so late that people can't grab tubes home if they want to watch the main event....so, that, i imagine, would put people off right away from buying a ticket.

Could boxing shift tickets with afternoon events?
