Corbett Should Be InThe Top 20 All Time Because He Beat?????

    When he died, there had only been 11 gloved heavyweight champions. (LOL)

    He only had to beat out Marvin Hart to make the list.

    Corbett had a lot of fights, where he sparred an "exhibition" with a professional and ostensibly Jim did not get paid. The Burke, Cleary and Miller bouts were suchlike. A later Olympic Club champion Sam Berger revealed that the "amateurs" such as himself were given a trophy which they could then in turn trade back in for money.

    Yes Corbett ended up as the Boxing Instructor of his local AC . When Corbett died there had been only 12 heavyweight champions including himself,so it wouldnt have been too difficult to be included in the top ten up to that point would it!lol
