I'd really like to watch Compton version of the fight at full length.

It is tough to make footage like this colored. Credit for D Brown for trying, at some point I like it.

Corbett looks like he enjoyed the time in the ring, with good quality you can see him smiling. I bet he wanted to make Fitz look foolish. Great job by Ruby that he made him pay for that.

Fitzsimmons would beat them together in the ring and I'm not sure if I exaggerate to be honest.

I think it can make stuff a bit easier to spot because you can more "contrast" between the fighters and background.

It shouldn't replace the original footage, but it's nice to have as well.

It's just people seem to love 'discussing' the technique of these older fighters. But when there's a smaller one that was good...

I would like to see some later rounds in color as well. Fitz hit Corbett with some terrific body punches.

My eyes are insulted by that video

I'm not sure if either would get out of the first round with Jeffries

I love what he's doing w the clips ... Corbett is painful to watch .. I get he was extremely fast but when he throws those round house swings while turning his head he's cringeworthy ..

Wonderful. Love the slow motion close up footage. Wish the entire bout was “enhanced” like this as we could better determine the capabilities of both fighters.

    It's more realistic.

Humans see the everyday world in colour, so a rendering that includes colour provides more information and is closer to our everyday experience. This makes it easier to relate to the reality of those soldiers.

Looking at stilted movement, WW1 video in shades of grey somehow renders the imagery surreal. It's from an almost mythical, alien world.

Any improvement in resolution and colour renders the video (or photo) closer to our experience and could be termed an enhancement.

That said, some prefer the B&W photos and videos and some are almost fanatical in their opposition to 'enhancements.' This is probably due to a preference for that surreal, mythical portrayal of bygone eras.

I haven't seen Jackson's WW1 work yet, other than brief clips, but I expect I will enjoy it when I get to it.

On the other hand, I like watching CASABLANCA every four or five years, and it would actually lose something for me if it ever got 'enhanced.'

What one man views as enhancement, another might view as vandalism.

I think his work is terrific .. somehow the films also seem time corrected to a degree .. Its terrific to see someone sharing contributions.
