Ketchel. Ketchel lost to the very best versions of Langford and Johnson. The Langford fight was probably only close because it was speed boxing but thats the best P4P fighter ever. Otherwise he beat all the HW contenders he fought though it wasn't many. Ketchel knocked out Porky Dan Flynn so I think he knocks Corbett out. Porky Dan Flynn was better then Corbett and was one of the best HWs in the world for a few years after. Was the last one to beat Gunboat right before Gunboat went on his run. Gunboats run didn't have a title attached until the end but it was a better run then Jeffries. So if Ketchel can low diff Porky Dan Flynn hes got Corbett. The only HW Corbett fought who found success in the post Jeffries era was Fitz and McCoy. McCoy didn't do as well against Corbett and Ketchel common opponents O Brien and Jack Twin Sullivan but he did well. In between McCoys fights in Corbetts era and those fights McCoy got obliterated by Root and Kid Carter. This was an era boxing got a lot better and a lots of guys progressed with the times because the sport was evolving so quick and i think McCoy and also Fitzsimmons were way better at boxing when they are old. This also might have the case with Corbett but Corbett was too inactive to suggest that. Another point in Ketchels favor was his last fight was 23 and he either never hit his prime or was at that level only at the very end. He fought Jack Twin Sullivan and O Brien at 21 and 22. A lot of his "bad" or less dominant results like Sullivan lasting 20 rounds could be explained away by being green. 5 of Ketchels last 6 wins were early round KOs so he was just hitting his stride.
