I think there's a pretty clear left hook thrown in this.

 

If any film needed slow-mo, it's Edwards and the Unknown. (Which, frustratingly, doesn't say which is which. They both look like an older Edwards conceivably might look.)

For what it's worth, I don't think there are hooks in Edwards's book. What time stamp are you referring to on this one?

 

Yeah, you can slow it down on YouTube luckilly though it makes it a slideshow. Pretty impressive for a 50 year old.

Isn't it only a partial film that exists? It's maybe more clear in the full thing. Still annoying, they look pretty similar, and I don't even think they are wearing anything to show which is which.

It's at 3 seconds, right after the one facing the camera ducks he throws it when he comes back up. I think there may be others, but it's hard to make out.

That might be a lead left that he terminated when he realized it wasn't going to hit. He does throw his left lead in a way that looks almost hook-like in one of the woodcuts in his book. Of so, we might have found which one is Edwards.

 

I think it's something fairly recently added.

I think the one ducking is probably Edwards, just looks a bit more skilled etc. and the way he shoves him away at the end.
The punch he ducks at around 2 seconds is also a left hook, but a bit of a thump, but I think some of that is trying to hit him when he ducks downs.
