Spinks is slated to fight "K9" Bundradge in March...Around the same time, maybe even the same day as Vic's fight. But there has been some rumours that his weight has blown out and he is having issues with his trainers. Just rumours though, cant really confirm anything about that as I havent really been keeping an eye on it.
Spinks has had a pretty good career to date imo. Former undisputed welterweight champion and also a junior middle titlist. Some people say he should have gotten the nod over Jermain Taylor aswell at middleweight. Has victories over Zab Judah and Ricardo Mayorga. He's a tricky customer for anyone at 147/154 and cops way too much flake for the career he has had. Now past his best but still might have a few good fights left in him at 154.
Very persistent rumors, I'm afraid - that his trainer walked out on his camp in disgust because Cory was upwards of 200lb. :scaredas: Even a Spinks training hard at this stage, going off the Phillips and Lattimore fights, would be lucky to eke out a win over even the limited K9. If he's not taking it seriously this could be a sad end to his career.
Yehhh totally agree. I have heard numerous rumours not just regarding his weight, but Spinks's lifestyle also. K-9 is a real live dog :yep in this 1.
I lost a fair bit of money (well to me anyway) on his fight with Mayorga, the ***** lost that fight :fire
