Stoppage was a bit premature but maybe if the dumb ass ref would've never tried to save the home fighter he wouldn't have reversed the call to a ko...he was trying to step in and stop corleys momentum and realized he ****ed up and had no other choice to save face

About 5 of his recent losses should have been wins anyway...

    Agree with thechamizhere.

It seemed like the ref jumped in to prevent Corley from continuing his assault, only to then realised how badly he ****ed up, and decided to go ahead and stop the action all together. Horrible, horrible refereeing.

Really happy for Corley, though. He was bossing him with those right hooks. Apparently he put £2,000 pounds on himself to win, and another £1,000 for a stoppage. What a night for him.

I remember your prediction in the lead up to Khan-Peterson.Not saying Khan wouldn't win but would you say Chop has a style that would give Khan problems Rico?
Was thinking that when I watched it,but don't think Chop has many of those nights left in him.Not now anyway.

Khan keeps distance, McCloskey doesn't. Khan would have a much easier time IMO.

Yeh The ref couldnt change his mind once he jumped in. Does a fighter have to be on the canvas for a ref to adminster a count? Surely this would be a good toption if the Ref suddenly realises he may have made a mistake. I guess its easy looking at the tv but another thing when your in between the 2. If I was a ref I could live with myself for making a terrible mistake even if it effected the outcome of a fight. I couldn't live with myself though if I was responsible for a fighter getting brain damage.

I agree with SJ, mate. Chop Chop could possibly make Khan look a bit sloppy at times, but that's it, I think. He'd most likely allow Khan to box at range, and get overwhelmed with speed and workrate.

Nice composed performance from Corley, very efficient, made McCloskey look amateur at times.

**** stoppage, an 8 count would have saved the ref's criticism...but Corley would have finished him there and then IMO anyway.

I don't think for a minute he'd win, just sprang to mind because I spent the whole build up thinking Dudey would win, then since yesterday and discussing it today my mindset did a 360.
I just saw a few things that I thought Amir could have trouble dealing with.
Anyway,Amir would need to get behind Zab and Floyd in the queue for Chop now.:yep

I could see why you would think that, though. He's a savvy veteran. Seems like he can still do some damage with some punches. Imagine if a few of those right hooks landed on Khan? It wouldn't be as easy obviously. Because Khan keeps the distance. But anything could happen.
