I mean a "mma boxing" or "dirty boxing". And I think that this great fight will be boring, DC will take Stipe down in each round and will dominate for five rounds.
That's fine, I have Jones and DC as the top 2 ever. Some think Wandy's 5 year run in Pride has yet to be matched. Some have disqualified Jones from their rankings. Some have disqualified Jones, and still have Wandy and Shogun in theirs. None of this has anything to do with how excited I am about this fight. It is one of the best, if not the best, ever at 205 to challenge the best current heavyweight in the world.
Miocic will disappoint Dana White and the F.U.C brass once again. After Cormier they will make a Jones fight when he comes back than a Ngumbo rematch. If they liked Miocic he would have gotten a big money easy defense with Lesnar.
Lol!! I was thinking the Jones fight will be after Cormier also. Bring that sleazbag on. Stipe would abuse Jones worse than Gus did. That ****ing lowlife should be serving a 4 year suspension.. not fighting. It’s disgusting how the UFC keep bringing that dumb ****** back!
UFC is in the shitter right now. This is another gimmick like Bisping GSP to try & keep up interest & intrigue. Stipe via stoppage if he can negate the takedowns.
Jones is the best non clean LHW. LHW is actually misleading too cos you are talking about a division that has men who are basically HWs & walk around at well over 230+ who just choose to boil down. Its also a division that is littered with former MWs. Jones is huge! He's a HW. HW too in fact has huge size disparity matchups on occasion.
The fight might turn out to be $hit. Fans probably won't give a fuck about it, at least as much as they should. I don't care. Stipe vs Cormier is huge! Daniel Cormier is one of the best to ever fight at light heavyweight. Only Jon Jones has defeated him, and those victories are now with controversy. Cormier won the Strikeforce Grand Prix, as a heavyweight. Cormier also defeated Mir at heavyweight. Stipe Miocic last lost in 2014, in a close fight with former bad ass Junior dos Santos. Since then Stipe has knocked Hunt, Arlovski, Werdum, Overeem and JDS the fuck out. Stipe is a motherfucker for fighters in their late 30's. No one recently sat down with Chael, and he had this to say. Skip to 6:35 This content is protected The wrestling in this fight has me intrigued. A former Olympian, Cormier is on another level. Stipe is 30 pounds north of the division Cormier wrestled in. I assume Cormier cut to 211 pounds. Is Stipe really that much bigger without cutting? What isn't in question is height and reach. 5'11" with a 72.5" reach vs 6'4" with an 80" reach.
I did laugh at the "no one recently sat down with chael and he had this to say". Chael is an excellent speaker especially for a fighter and seems to have kept most of his faculties and makes some good points and some obviou points about the fight. Even with disagreeing with a lot of what he says,Chael after being 1 of the best **** talkers has become 1 of the best analysts and commentators in the game
Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier is bigger than GSP vs Bisping. It won't be, but it should be. GSP is the best we've ever seen. His boxing is as good, or better, than anyone's. His BJJ game is as good, or better, than anyone's. His wrestling is as good, or better, than anyone's. Oh, yeah...he can kick too. It's no wonder that he's a massive draw. It made for a huge story when the greatest welterweight of all time came back to challenge for the Middleweight title. GSP showed up and delivered. The thing is, it was against Michael Bisping. Bisping was the legitimate champion, but he wasn't the best middleweight in the world. Everyone in the top 10 would be favored to win against "the Count." GSP is the greatest fighter in UFC history. He is also it's weakest 2 division champion. Penn, Couture and McGregor won against a better class of opponents to win their 2nd titles. Cormier is probably the 2nd best light heavyweight ever. Jones was better, but looks like he'll forever have an asterisk beside his name. Stipe Miocic is a far more credible champion than Bisping was. Stipe is a top 5 all time great, and is currently the best heavyweight in the world. Stipe has defeated 4 of the UFC's top 5 contenders, knocking out 3 of them in the first round. If Daniel Cormier can defeat Stipe Miocic at 39 years old, he racks up some serious p4p points.
