I agree with what the others are saying, you thought this could go 12 rounds and then as soon as he gets brutally KO'ed, you blame Haymon and Quillin.

He accepted the fight and they're both in the same division.

What it shows though is that there needs to be a return of the same day weigh-ins and limited rehydration.

No one is joking, and everyone feels for Zerafa.

No one really thought he had a chance to win but these things happen all the time. World champions fight guys who are big big underdogs. Some can flourish, most do not.

Zerafa was unfortunately someone who couldn't. He had some successes in the early rounds but he got careless and he got knocked out.

Haymon didn't make Zerafa take this fight. Zerafa took it because he thought he could win and his team did.

So pinning the blame on Haymon entirely? Just doesn't make sense.

You could say that contacting someone like Zerafa is bad and distasteful, but you can't blame him for anything more than that. Zerafa knew that he was a huge underdog going into this and that there was always a chance Quillin could spark him like he did. Quillin isn't a powder puff puncher.

Zerafa took those chances because he thought he could pull out the W but unfortunately, tonight wasn't his night. That's all.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts as well, something needs to be done with the catch weight/rehydration bull ****.

Knockouts happen, injuries happen, and sometimes even in ring deaths happens. I always get a bad taste in my mouth after these situations, but these men know what they signed up for, and in pretty much every sport these unfortunate things can happen.

    Hope Zerafa is ok though

Anyways guys, let's just drop this ****.

It's pointless and it's going nowhere.

Everyone has their good points, let's just conclude this pointless argument.

No I'm not going to drop it, this catchweight bull**** and mismatches need to end or else someone is going to die in the ring. And when you say oh well move on, that's exactly what Haymon wants you to do. He's subhuman filth.

Kind of sounds like Pac/Algieri.

    All the way.

The commissions are to be blamed, they're the ones regulating these matches.

And never fought at 147 in his life, nor fought anyone of Pac's calibre.

    Hardly a fair fight.

He was dropped 6 times ffs and could have been stopped by the 5th one. He had no chance. Poor boy walked into an execution.

It was a bull**** fight to its core and that's why the PPV's dipped.

Well we don't know yet if it will dip but Berto is far more accomplished at 147 than Algieri is.

That fight was at a bull**** catchweight, it was a cherry picked fight.

Pacquiao started out as a Flyweight and can barely make Welter, Algieri is far bigger and has the frame to move up, big difference.

And I'm not disagreeing with you about it being a BS fight but so Is this one.

Top 5 p4p fighter against someone who never fought at 147, nor was a top 50 p4p fighter.

    Sounds fair.

    And at a catchweight too.

IT IS, I've never said it wasn't.

Zerafa vs Quillin is a bull**** mismatch, YES. I agree!!

But just blaming Haymon for all of this is just wrong. If you're going to blame Haymon, you should also blame the commission/sanctioning bodies for sanctioning a fight like this.
