Castillo would have won the 3rd meeting, but both at their peak it is a 50/50 fight everytime. People forget that Corrales put Castillo on ***** street with about 10 seconds left at the end of the 7th round of their first fight, and might have stopped him if the round didn't end so quick.

Castillo went at Corrales all wrong after knocking him down twice. He stopped throwing body shots after hurting Corrales. He went head hunting like crazy. And to top it off he had his chin exposed. Did he forget he was stunned numerous times throughout the fight? It was Castillo's fault that he lost the first fight. No way should he have lost after the 10th round. But he did because he got reckless.

And that Corrales training camp for the third Castillo fight was one of his best. He looked great in camp. Wasnt sluggish at all like in the last 2 fights of his career. He killed himself in that training camp. So after the fight was cancelled it was a big letdown not just money wise for Corrales. His body had undergone a rigorous 6 months of training. He never recovered from that. As seen in the Casamayor rubbermatch.

of course we'll never know. . . logic would lean toward Castillo but no one has more heart than Chico. Its a damn shame the rubbermatch never happened.

Castillo. He really won the first fight IMO. Corrales should bot have been given a 20 minute count when he spit out the mouthpiece. A fighter has to be up and ready to fight at the count of 10. He also scored an early KO in the second and corrales made it perfectly clear that he would not fight a smarter fight.

If Castillo had made weight in June 2006, he would've been half-dead. Did you see how weak Castillo looked while weighing like 4 pounds over? He had outgrown the weight class.

Corrales by brutal stoppage over a depleted and seriously drained opponent. It would've been very dangerous to put someone in the ring in such a weakened state.

Castillo for sure. Love Diego, but I don't think it would have been much of a difference. Castillo should have made wieght though, that is very unprofessional not to.

I think Castillo tried to, but his body couldn't make 135 anymore. He weighed in at like 139 and he looked so drained and weakened already.

Imagine how bad he'd have been physically if he had lost 4 more pounds.
