You're right. If Chico was training blissfully in the mountains of switzerland with 10 billion dollars in his pocket and gisele bundchen as his wife, he'd only been knocked down 3 times instead of 5.
And I think Floyd would have handled pretty much any version of Chico. The man at his best still hadn't learned how to cut off the ring, which always blew me away. And Floyd is a defensive genius. All I'm saying is that time is a little bit more of a distraction than a head cold or a sore shoulder. Of course Corrales' personal life isn't Floyd's fault in ANY way, but it is what it is. Anyone who believes Chico was in the best physical or mental condition he could be that night has watched "Undisputed" one time too many.
Off night I doubt it, it was more of what floyd did right, and he did a lot more thing right then Chico did. Even at 135 there would not have been whole lot that Chico could have done to change the out come. at 135 floyd still would have been faster, with both foot speed and hand speed, he still would have been able to beat Chico to the punch, and still would have out maneuvered and out smarted him. it boils down to Floyd had the perfect game plane along with a perfect performance, almost a perfect congeal of physical performance and planning .
