JMM asked for the catchweight, which he souldn't have asked for in the first place.

Floyd didn't outmuscle JMM, he outboxed him and made him look silly. He had JMM falling off balance at times from missing so badly. There was only a couple of lbs difference on fight night between, Floyd is just in another league. Marqeuz knows this and that's why he doesn't want a rematch.

That's exactly the kind of attitude that kept Floyd safe from Pac. :yep

But history will be there to judge.

Be that as it may, JMM was unable to make size an issue. This limited whet he could do.

I've already opined that Floyd put on a masterful performance and would have won anyway.

I'm still curious why Floyd chose to spend the two million bucks, though. :think

    Why not ?

Since there was no title on the line, he was within his rights to ask for a catchweight.

Floyd was sniffing the air for a JMM bout. ( He was certain he could beat him, and not certain he could beat Pac, so what better alibi than to beat the man who many thought beat Pac ?)

I never said he did. But by coming in so much bigger than Marquez, he took away some of Marquez's options.

    Horse-****.

Why do Floyd have to be safe from Manny when Marquez already proved how much of a bum Pac is by putting him in a coma? :yep

5 fights left, you have to expect to see those names, along with Garcia. The only challenges out there for Floyd that make financial sense are Canelo, Martinez and Pacquiao.

Khan, while undeserving, is a huge money fight. Especially in the UK.

    Are you that ******ed ?

The events you described had not yet happened when Floyd was excuse-shopping to avoid Pac.

    Try to keep up.

Floyd has a belt at 154 and Canelo fights at 154 and there is no chance he can make 147. If you claim to be great then you have to dare to be great and take those risks.

Nice comeback, but doesn't alter the fact that you got your time frames mixed up.

Canelo couldn't make a 150 catch weight against Matthew Hatton 2+ years ago...

Sometimes I wonder if these fanatics even pay attention to the sport at all. If Floyd fights Canelo, it will be at 154. There would be absolutely no reason for Canelo to move down a division to fight Mayweather. He is already a cash cow himself, so he will not be bullied into that type of move.

Funny how the exaggeration comes out as well, talking that Canelo regularly weights 175+ on fight night. He came in unofficially against Trout at 172, and Trout also weighed in at 171.5 on fight night. Quit being bitches and let Floyd do the fighting.
