The worst blows are the ones you don't feel.

Actually, Buster Douglas was All State in Both Football and Basketball when he was in high school. His team went undefeated and won the state AAA Basketball Championship in 1977. Bottom line: Buster was an exceptional natural athlete. His father got him into boxing. It was never his favorite sport or passion.

Sanders 03 is on par with Tokyo Douglas for me. I actually don't know which performance is better, Sanders or Douglas. I might have to go with Sanders given Tyson was essentially over after Tokyo but Wlad built a huge career from his own ruins. Certainly have not seen a hw underdog performance to match either I can think of. A chance this weekend for similar sized Charles Martin, also a southie, to write his own chapter.

Douglas boxed a master performance against Tyson.

Sanders just wacked Wlad on the chin and that was that. Its not comparable to how Douglas brought the boxing 101 textbook to life in any way shape or form.

Douglas looked like a great boxer that night. You can't say that about Sanders. And undefeated Mike Tyson >>>> Wladimir Klitschko.

Just dig up a Sanders /Wlad rematch thread if you want to know what Doza really thinks about Sanders.

You forgot to mention Douglas throughout his career hit nothing like as hard as Sanders, especially not the 03 version. He was chucking feather dusters compared to Sanders, and that under motivated Tyson would have been in big trouble vs the same guy. The south stance would have been another sore headache for Tokyo Mike.

And stop being such a troll, any excuse to bash Wlad. Just remember k2 between them beat every guy except one for near twenty years, and he ran away.

To me, Sanders is like a less refined version of Max Baer.

What you said was flat out silly and only posted because you are a blind fanboi. Stop being a fanboi.

Sanders had no defense. None. Ever. He was an open target and that is why Tubbs took him out early. And later Ragman. Who else did Sanders beat?
Any version of Tyson up to 2000 takes out Sanders.

Douglas stopped the iron chinned Tyson and very nearly had the ironed chinned Ferguson out in he first round with a savage uppercut. The bell saved Ferguson.
Who has Sanders knocked out that proves he punched harder than Douglas?

Rahman didn't take him out early, he got lucky with a standing count and then a British style stoppage, was a bs stoppage for me. And we saw that Rahman destroy Lewis next fight, imo Sanders would have done exactly the same to Lewis, as he later did to Wlad. I could also say any version of Wlad between 07 and 14 would beat that Sanders, but it's immaterial just like your Mike up to 2000 boast is.
