I never said he did. There was no luck involved when Raham and Sanders slugged it out and Rahman was the only one left standing.

Put Sanders in with the Wlad who got south paw lead hand countered to bits by Thompson and you get the exact same result.
If pity pat Tony can bust up his face , Sanders sparks him clean out. Again.
There's a reason why they wanted no part of a rematch.

Ferguson in his prime had many attributes better than Wlad.

No luck? He was out on his feet and got a standing count and Sanders was on his feet when the ref stopped it, do you know anything? Regards Steward era Wlad, that's your total BS opinion. Sanders vacated the belt for more money vs Vitali and then retired.

You are off your shrunken voodoo head. Ferguson would not have lasted mid rounds vs Chris Byrd. I know he got an MD on Douglas and Mercer, his claim to fame, but just go away already. The Bowe fight was an embarrassment.

He went through the ropes and got a count. Sander also got floored and got a count. Than he got punched into submission. So Sanders got robbed now. I never heard anybody claim that ever.
Because he got ordered to box Brewster since Wlad did not enfore the rematch clause.

See , Sanders is only good against greats , but when it come to Wlad , he's a ducker. :-:)barf

Except he was way more refined than Baer. Seriously, Baer threw backhanded slaps as part of his offense.

Sad that such a skilled boxer always draws out the most vitriol from the K haters. Personally, I still rate Sanders as the best non K of the Klitschko period (even though his great win came while Lennox was still around), and a top 40 ATG. Good size, great power, insane speed and top reflexes and canniness. I think he would have had a great chance against Wlad if they rematched, would win 5 out of 10 against Rahman and he would have beaten most of the other top contenders of the era if he'd ever actually gotten the fights.

The heavyweight Jose Luis Lopez. Endless talent. Minimal love for the sport.

And I totally understand. Getting punched in the face for a living or for mere sporting sucks. I came to that conclusion, also.

He lasted 6 rounds with Tyson. Lasted 10 rounds with McCall. Lasted 10 rounds with Bonecrusher. Beat Mercer.
I'm not sure what feather fist Byrd could do to him.

Have to LOL at Dino and Herol. Goddamn, they really hate Wladimir. Anything to discredit their bogeyman. This duo is so darn sad. Do they not realise that it's super-obvious that their every post in any way related to the Klitschkos is tainted by their bias and therefore worthless?

Sanders is one of my favourite boxers. Not just because he was a fellow countryman, but also because he always came to fight and wasn't scared to face anybody. I agree that he would have been much bigger (and probably better too, because not being able to land the big fights demotivated him imho) if he'd had a better promoter.

Others have talked about his speed, power and accuracy. I like to judge fighters by their records as well as the eye test, and Sanders doesn't disappoint. Against lesser opposition he typically rode roughshod over them, often in better style than bigger name fighters.

    Examples:

    Holyfield:

beat Czyz in 5; it took Sanders 2 in a one-sided bout.
beat Cooper in 7; it took Sanders 3
beat De Leon in 8, it took Sanders 1
beat Botha in 8, Sanders has 4 wins incl 3 KO's over Botha in the ams

    Lewis:

beat Billups on points, Sanders KO'd him in 1

In the twilight of his career he had two rip roaring fights with the Klitschko brothers. He showed what he could do against Wlad, and although I was deeply disappointed at the condition that Corrie showed up in against Vitali, I still think that he made him fight harder for the win than any fighter aside from Lennox, who we know to be top-shelf. In hindsight he may never have been able to have beaten Vitali at tht stage of his career, but considering he had the big Klitschko rocked in the first round, it is not inconceivable. I think that if he'd pulled that off he would have cemented his legacy.

What did I say that wasn't true about Sanders?
I'd say the slanderous muck slingers that tarnish him by accusing him of being a no good ducker are the real haters.
He's great to your ilk, but as soon as Wlad enters the frame, he gets dropped like a hot rock.
I'm one of the few who gets his back around here.
People like you are a sad joke.

He couldn't land big fights because he lost his biggest fights.
Rahman got Lewis by beating Sanders.
How exactly could he not land the big fights? He'd had the chance and got knocked out of contention.
Rahman didn't, he beat Sanders, then earned he big fight and won that too.
Why aren't we talking about him being the GOAT???
