Back in January, I noticed that Corrie Sanders had suffered a 1st round KO loss against some guy I had never heard of named Osborne Machimana. The fight was for some regional African heavyweight title. Machimana was something like 14-5-1, or thereabouts.

Today I finally watched the fight on Youtube. Sanders looked worse than I had ever seen him. He bore the appearance of the average middle aged man barbecueing on his patio on father's day. He was so slow, that he moved at glacial speeds. At one point Osborne what's his face, nailed him with a few semi-clean shots, and Sanders dropped to his knees. As soon as the ref stopped counting, Corrie immediately rose to his feet, and sighed as though happy to be done with it. I'm wondering if he just decided to hell with it, and quit.

I sincerely hope that he never fights again....

    Don't worry about it.

That beating he got from Vitali Klitschko should have retired him. Man, that was bad. Exciting fight to watch, though.

He is retired. Unfortunately, his "manager" ripped him off of all his saved ring earnings. I am glad you can find so much mirth and joy in this situation. Class act.

I watched this on TV live and Sanders as you say looked terrible. I realise that most of his money is gone, but there are other avenues to explore for him; fighting is definitely not an option anymore.

Just as an aside, I don't know why some are taking exception to this thread. :huh

There was no intention of making a mockery of Sanders's bad situation. I had no idea he was in financial trouble.
