Agreed. Tua could not do it in the second fight too and was lucky to escape with a draw. Maskaev's first ko of Rahman was helped by Hasim being knocked out of the ring and hitting a typewriter or something with his head. Rahman's eye swelled unnaturally against Holyfield. The only bonafide stoppages of Rahman was by Maskaev in the second fight and by Lennox Lewis also in their second fight. So much for the casually dismissed "chinny" Hasim Rahman. Poor chap.
He could certainly punch very hard. He never cracked any great chins, and his finishing ability was mediocre in the early part of his career (which is why the Klitschko win was such a shock for me) but his combination of speed and power was pretty fearsome. Not an ATG puncher, but one of the better punchers of his era.
