obviously corrie in his worst shape ever was cpapble of destroying the best HW ever to grace the planet in Waldo K. Also so did the ultimate greatest ever slickster Purrity and the toughest boxer in history, Brewster. odd how these greatest evers came along during the Wlad "era".

But what if corrie had been prime, surely he would have been able to dispatch Ali in similar fashion. Yuh, with Brewster and Purrity fighting in the ring beside him, that is, 3 versus 1.

Sanders could nail him because he was large, had speed and southpaw (remember Mildenburger) but I think he would recover, he should outpoint Brewster or tko but he could get nailed with the hook

Prime Ali beats each easily. Low skilled hwts vs the best hwt.

Ali beats them all but I'm wondering if a fit and motivated sanders could give him some problems for a while. Most people only remember the older out of shape version of corrie.. Watch some of his earlier fights.. He was well conditioned, had lightening fast hands with a good wingspan and south paw style to go with respectable power.. That's a nasty proposition for Ali would regularly got hit with left hooks and was even hurt or floored by some of them.. Muhammad still prevails but Corrie would be no walk in the park..

He kills Corrie with his lead right. Sanders has no chance.

If it were that easy then why didn't he make short work of about a dozen of his lesser opponent a few of whom either decked him or took him the distance in close fights?

Of those 3 Brewster was the Most skilled and would give Ali the toughest fight but would still lose in the end, Brew man always came in shape and ready to rumble..

Purrity was a journeyman, who lost 20 fights as a pro he was as tough as nails but get real, putting him in the ring with Ali would be like putting a Honda civic in the Indy 500, IT DON'T BELONG, and wouldn't work, stupid move..

Sanders is the most over-rated guy on this forum, he had a beer gut and was only a 4 round fighter against elite competition, he looked like he was in his best shape for Rahman and was still KO'd, and even knocked out by Nate tubbs, he might be qualified to be Ali's sparring partner but that's about it, he was too damn lazy to get into proper fighting condition..

I agree. Corrie would really sting Ali with the straight left. I'd expect Ali to take it and Corrie to fall apart later in the fight.

If a late 70s Ali had to fight Brewster, I'd fear for his health. I'm sure he win on points, but he'd endure some really bad punishment.

We are talking the best Ali Magoo. The best Ali not an off night Ali or a past prime Ali. The best Ali would easily beat these three without issue. One sided bouts.

Muhammad Ali had very few "one sided" bouts against anyone who was world class, not washed up or who had the right style to trouble him. I pick him to beat all three of the suggested names but I stand by my comment that sanders could have given him a nights work.

None of the three are world class. All grade B or C fighters. We are talking the Ali who beat Liston. He destroys lower level fighters such as these.
