Anybody have any specifics on his training/nutrition when he was actually training and not on the golf course?

I know he preferred to golf and avoided the gym at times but surely he had a structured training program in place when he did give a bother.

I read that he didn’t much like training and actually hired a sports psychologist before the Wladimir Klitschko fight.

    Six-pack of beer.

    Tip caddy.

    Whiskey.

    Sleep.

I’m pretty sure he ate a full rotisserie chicken while on golf course.

I think a leg injury messed up his ability to do roadwork heading into the Rahman fight.

iirc he'd had surgery before the Rahman fight and had done zero roadwork. Quite unfortunate because that was a fired up and game version of Rahman. As for the rest of his training he was with Volbrecht who by all accounts was a decent trainer so he probably had a typical boxer's workout.

From what I gathered I’m pretty sure Corrie did a lot of sparring mostly. Some pad work and some heavy bag here and there but he was one of those that sparred for the majority of his camps. Not too much resistance training I don’t think. Some roadwork.

    I might be wrong though.

Imagine if Corrie put into his health and fitness what Wlad put into it while with Steward. Dude would have been right up there at the top 2-3 for many years. Rahman definitely wouldn’t have been the one to get that shot in SA in my opinion. Lol

Nate Tubbs still would have put him to sleep. He wasn’t in that fight long enough to get tired.
