A fight that could've happened in 2003, just after Sanders pulled the upset against Wlad Klitschko, but Tua went to court with his management team after demolishing Michael Moorer, Fres Oquendo and drawing with Hasim Rahman. But what if Tua fought for the WBO Heavyweight World title?
Tua had a little more wind in his sails at this point. And Tua was damn near impossible to KO, even for Sanders. Corrie is the fast starter, gasses out a bit, Tua catches him, over.
Tua survives some big lefts early and proceeds to demolish Sanders by round 6. This version of Sanders was a 3 round fighter.
Tua plucks him out of the sky with the big left hook mid rounds, he gets low to throw the right to the body and catches Sanders upright chin in the air because Sanders was preoccupied by Tua’s body shot. Sanders wins the early rounds, but tires and loses his legs and makes more mistakes as he tires.
Depends which version of Sanders. If I get to pick I pick an earlier boxing-oriented Sanders who would use the ring and his mobility to widely outpoint Tua. If it's the 'knockout' version of Sanders, then I'm not sure he has the chin to exchange broadsides with Tua who had similar power but a great chin. He'd probably do well early and get crumpled later. They have a common opponent in Sean Hart btw: This content is protected This content is protected
