As much as i detest Wilder, people need to stop hyping Sanders.

FFS before (and after) the Wlad fight, all Sanders ever beat was Michael ****ing Sprott and Bobby Czyz, the former mw/commentator.

No, he probably couldnt, but he could sure slip it and easily, and I mean EASILY land his short L counter.

    Then it's GOOD NIGHT WILDER.

Rahman and Vitali were lucky to survive.

Lennox, Tyson and Moorer were SMART enough not to chance it.:deal:deal:deal

At the time they could have realistically fought, in the late 90s, Tyson was facing and beating better opposition than Sanders.

Even the Tyson that lost to Lewis would waste Sanders.

While Sanders was feasting on Alfred Cole and Jorges Valdes, Tyson was knocking out Savarese, Golota and Botha, guys who were probably one level up from Sanders.

Sanders was 4-0 against Botha in the Amateurs (3 times by KO)

Henry Tillman beat Tyson twice in the amateurs.

Razor Ruddock beat Lewis in the amateurs.

I didn't think id have to explain that the pro game is totally different

So knocking a guy out 3 times in 4 encounters is meaningless

Sanders was far superior to Botha.

3 KO's is conclusive enough for me. These weren't clinchfest Decisions like the 2 Tyson/Tillman fights were.

Like i said before, this is the pro game and its a whole different ball game.

Secondly, going back to my initial post, while Tyson was fighting and beating the likes of Savarese, Botha and Golota, Sanders was beating up on Alfred Cole.

So the whole "Sanders was ducked by everyone" needs to stop the guy was lazy, unmotivated and didn't make the best our of his career, that's his fault. The same goes for Buster Douglas and David Tua.

And Tyson paid Sanders so he didnt have to fight him. As did Lewis and Moorer.

    Sure, risk/reward, bigger fights etc.

But they saw how he blew out solid journeyman and nearly decaptiated Rahman and felt that they'd rather pay his purse and let him stick to golf.

wlad and Vitali actually manned up and fought the beast. :thumbsup

When did Tyson pay to avoid Sanders? That's the first ive heard of this?

Moorer was done after getting dropped multiple times vs Holyfield in 97, after mounting a brief comeback he was starched in one round by Tua.

Outside of Wladmir, All Sanders beat was mike ****ing sprott, meanwhile Lewis was beating the likes of Briggs, Holyfield, Tua, Golota, Tyson, Vitali and Rahman.

Not during the period when he could have fought Tyson in the late 90s.

In 99 Tyson fought Botha while coming off a 2 year layoff due to the bite. Botha himself was coming off a tough loss to Moorer. Sanders in 99 was beating up Alfred Cole.

So should Tyson have fought Sanders instead?

:huh Your dates are all weird.

Botha and Tyson fought in '99. Sanders didn't even fight until 13 months AFTER that fight. The last 2 guys Botha fought had records of 5-14-0 and 4-35-0, the fight before that he fought Lee Gilbert wo had exactly 0 career wins over fighters with winning records. Botha was 5 fights removed from being the last man Michael Moorer knocked out in a remotely meaningful fight. Sanders had beaten Czyz, Valdez and Purity in his last 2 fights. Great competition? :nono But better than the absolute jokes that Botha had faced? :nod And Corrie hadn't lost in 5 years and 12 fights.
