Put Sanders in the place of Wallin and they'd have dragged Fury out by his boots.

TF needs to buck up and sharpen up because he shouldn't be going life and death with guys like Wallin.

You put the Fury in who fought Wilder and Wlad and Sanders probably wouldn't even lay a hand on Fury. And what's your definition of a life and death fight?

Fury was knocked down by bums then twice by 212lb wilder, by Cunningham, went life and death with wallin. What did he actually do to be considered elite? Barely outpointed 40yo wlad? And drew with wilder?

The Fury that fought Wilder wasn't that great, but Wilder made him look so. TF can be better than this, and he's going to have to be or Wilder will knock his block off in the rematch.

Any decent fighter fury fought either knocked him down or rocked him. Fury is not slick and his defense sucks , he’s featherfisted, fat and clumsy that’s all I see .

I hope wilder does that I’s so tired of fools claiming he would school Ali , lewis, Vitali . According to fury he beats AJ, Ruiz and Usyk with one hand tied behind his back and in reality he goes life and death with Wallin. I’d really love to see wilder KO this fat clown .

Well we can all point to one performance to justify a particular mythical outcome but most are a bit more nuanced than that.. But if you want to play those games then just remember Sanders struggled with lesser men than Fury.. & I don't think dropping 3/4 rounds in an otherwise pretty convincing win against an unknown quantity who (going off that performance) is actually looking like a solid HW himself is anything to really slate the guy with.. Every HW has hard nights & easy nights.. it has always been thus..

Saying that tho Sanders was a fast hard hitting southpaw who could quite feasibly trouble Fury..

Everyone used to call Sanders a bummy dough boy golfer back in the day on here.. funny how time heals all lol

When there is danger, guys elevate their game. It's just hard finding motivation to beat the Wallins of the world but Fury clearly won.

He didn't go life and death with Wallin. And who's calling Fury great?

And the Sanders who fought Rahman would get outclassed and stopped by the Fury who beat Wad.

These kinds of threads are funny. Boxing fans have short memories. Whenever a fighter has an off night or maybe doesn’t match up well with a certain style, people like to match the fighter’s worst performance with another fighter’s best performance.

Remember Vernon Forest? He had the great Shane Mosleys number and beat him twice but lost to Ricardo Mayorga twice. The same Mayorga who Mosley knocked out, TWICE! Boxing is more complicated than A beat B and B beat C so A will beat C. Styles DO make fights and sometimes a guy has an off night or sometimes his opponent has a career night. It’s what makes boxing more interesting to me than other sports.

You say this life Fury didn't have an "off night" against a southpaw who was thoroughly inferior to Sanders, but nonetheless the only southpaw who any of us remember Fury fighting.

You could be right. southpaws could be Fury’s Krypronite. He wouldn’t be the first fighter to look bad against a southpaw. I don’t think we will see him fight another one in the foreseeable future. Fury also was dealing with the worst cut of his career in a really bad spot and still got the W. It might have been a different fight if he wasn’t cut although he wasn’t doing well before the cut.
