    Sanders is faster? Dempsey was super fast and athletic. Sanders in no way was quicker than him. Let's see......prime Dempsey is rated one of the greatest fighters ever to live and That's nearly 100 years after him winning the title. Sanders is....hmmmm.....a nothing! Dempsey by brutal ko within 2 rounds. Dempsey too quick and his inside body shots would drop Sanders in utter agony on the canvas again and again.

    yes sanders has faster hand speed than dempsey,you got videos to back that up.he also ko'd wlad,which is definetly more impressive than ko'ing willard.dempsey was good 100 years ago,but i think sanders would smoke him.he would land first,and dempsey was never hit that hard.

    Sanders = bum

    Dempsey would get inclose and that roll of fat around sanders waist would do him in. No one fought inside as devastating as Dempsey.

    Ridiculous thread. Class usually wins out when greats fight bums.

    Dempsey's bob and weave would present problems for Sanders. Corrie was a dangerous opponent for a stand up straight fighter but I think he would have a harder time landing on a fighter that bobs and weaves and moves his head and body like Dempsey did. Add Jack's fast hands and power to the mix and Sanders could be in for a long...or short night. However long the fight lasts it would be fun to watch. Fireworks from the opening bell.

    Sanders by annihilation.

    Oh, and Sanders was practically the same size as Willard. Think about that.

    Honestly, Sanders would have next to no chance here.

    Yes his win over Wlad is very impressive, but he was usually getting beaten when he stepped up in competition, and was very lucky to come up against a developing ATG whose primary weakness complimented his primary strengths.

    Perhaps he is getting a bit too much credit for it these days?

    Put him in with a prime ATG, who is durable and a renowned finisher, and he is going to need more than luck to pull off the upset.

    I'd go with Sanders, the speed and range of his punches would easily see him catch Dempsey on the way in until eventually the smaller Dempsey gets ko'd

    If it goes past 5 rounds though the balance shifts to Dempsey as Sanders stamina was terrible.

    Sander is far far quicker than Dempsey. Some people don't have eyes

    You mean to say that he might actualy do as well against Dempsey as Willard did?

    Well this thread highlights all the posters without a clue. Dempsey has been termed one of the greatest fighters who ever lived for the last 80 years and a nothing like Sanders beats him? Once Dempsey gets inside, which would be quickly, Sanders lights are put out. Class A fighter vs something quite below that.
