How many rounds? Sanders might overwhelm him into the sort of stoppage Corrie got against Cooper. But if it went a full 15, and the iron-chinned Bugner survived the storm, things could get interesting. Still Joe was a low output guy. I think he would be forced to up the ante and sell out more than usual. I'll say Sanders Dec 12.

Logically i should pick Bugner. He was well rounded. But offensively he didn't always use his tools.

I am going to favour a fit motivated Sanders to land a series of big lefts and get a stoppage. Had Bugner beaten big hitters like Shavers and Lyle, i might have favoured him but he didn't.

It's not too difficult to pick Sanders in this one.

People picking Bugner will largely do so on the strength of Corrie's poor stamina in his later career, but, in prime Sanders' case, he did not have stamina problems.

Sanders keeps him honest with the threat of the counter left, Bugner goes into survival mode and Sanders is able to stay in 1st gear and take a points win.

Joe finishes on his feet without breaking much of a sweat or troubling himself too much with the basic prerequisite of boxing, actually winning the fight. If Bugner had a little bit of the devil in him he'd have been a bad man, great chin, great physical attributes, very skillfully, good defence. Just almost seemed like he'd taken up the wrong sport at times...still, he had a bolldy good career, all those rounds with Ali and Frazier, touching greatness
