It’s not anything I would bet on but I’m leaning towards Mike Weaver. He fought and beat several prime contenders and some of those fights went deep into the championship rounds. He even came from behind to win a few of them. Mike was always in top condition and gave 100%. Sanders was a great talent as well. He had good boxing skills, fast hands and decent power. His best chance to beat weaver would be to try and get him out early. But Corrie’s stamina was not great and neither was his chin. I can see this going into the late rounds when Weaver steps on the gas and sanders fades resulting in a referee stoppage.. this is all hypothetical though.
Sanders certainly could win this fight by KO. But, I am not sure he would. At their bests, Weaver by KO. He at least showed some ability to weather a firefight. At their worst, probably Weaver again. But, there are many times the coin flip would go the other way and Sanders just catches Weaver cold.
