This thread is not likely to get very many responses, and frankly I agree that it is somewhat irrelovant seeing as neither man was really great. I am however, interested to here from you who you think may have taken this one.

    Sanders mid round TKO

He finds the mark with accurate straight left hands flush on Valuev's massive face. After some sustained punishment, he stops him.

Valuev now versus Sanders now, Valuev knocks him out by the 8th round, Sanders came in very overweight in his last match. People could say what they want about Valuev, but the man has a granite chin and amazing stamina for his size. Sanders would blow his load early and pay for it later in the fight, where he will become an easy target and will eventually drop from the combination of exhaustion and Valuevs punches.

While Valuev has proven to have a good chin, he hasn't been hit by true bombs. I would pick Sanders to defeat Valuev mostly likely via mid to late round TKO, or via decsion. Valuev simply is not that good. His power is just solid. His jab is a bit slow. Valuev isn't the type of fighter who forces you into exchanges, which is what drains Sanders stamina the most. Valuev fights at a slower, more meausred pace. Sanders has gone the distance a many times.

If the fight took place now, I'd still lean to Sanders if he is below 240 pounds. Most people focus on Sanders speed and power. Its still there at his age, but he's also a decent enough boxer with some defense, and moxie.

I think Valuev beats him. Has gigantic cranium has taken every bomb thusfar without much trouble, despite an extremely open defense. I think Sanders hits him hard and often during the first 4/5 rounds, maybe he'd trigger a merciful TKO, but i think Valuev will survive, keep the workrate up as usual and stop a tired Sanders late, or win a decision.

That's how I see it. Sanders, even in his prime, is/was really only dangerous for the first few rounds, and had real tendencies to gas out in nasty fashion late in fights.

It's either Sanders early T/KO (mercy stoppage, I can't see him actually getting a clean KO on Valuev) or Valuev UD. The only way I can see Sanders winning this fight if it goes the distance is if he somehow manages to get Valuev on the canvas several times.

A normal version of Corrie Sanders holds on for a decision victory.

A Super Southpaw Sanders, well... TIMMMMBER!

Your right! No one throws true bombs like Super Southpaws!

I pick Sanders by knockout in the first round

Not good enough to handle a freak of nature super southpaw

Well he does have unstoppable handspeed and two fisted power. That's what you get when you become a super southpaw.

Well, Haye had Valuev do a little jig in the 12th, and Gerald Nobles wobbled him as well. Valuev certainly isn't George Chuvalo.

    Also, arguable knockdown against Ruiz.

Sanders by TKO. And he didn't always come in overweight. People are talking out of their ass.

I'll go with a Sanders kayo. He could throw a high punch no problem.
