    Exactamundo sir!

Today, All these internet kids would say Rocky should not be allowed to fight Big Bill Wilson.

What an obvious deflection... You really pull back the curtain on your empty argument when you distort thusly the arguments of your opponents.

In this particular case Sanders not only provides size and length but speed and top notch power. Al Cole called Sanders the fastest puncher he ever faced... Which includes a variety of divisions from middle to heavy.. Against a much slower, truncated opponent it's going to be open season so long as his stamina holds up. I think Marciano's skin and chin fail before Sanders' gas tank. So, you see, size is but a factor in this matchup (and its mostly length and not weight) not the ultimate determiner.

Yes Sanders had size, and power, and hand speed, but these attributes do not in themselves make him a world beater.

Fighters with those attributes that amounted to nothing, are a dime a dozen, in the history of the sport.

You still have to look at what he was able to translate them into!

The answer to that, is obviously a somewhat mixed picture.

David Price 6"7 250lbs would be King but I would not bet on him getting blasted by Louis,Marciano,Dempsey or Walcott and David has skills but a chin is a chin is a chin and some our Big bangers like6" 208lb Shavers, Satterfield 5"10 184lbs, Langford,5"7 178lbs, Fitz 170lbs,Choynski 178lbs, Frazier 5"11 205lbs, Tyson 5"10 215 in prime form would be dangerous against anyone not to mention Louis 6'1 and Dempsey 6'1 and lets not forget Lennex was KO'd 2 times and Vlad at least 2 times & they were the cream of the 6"4 and up guys

There is need to create a superheavyweight division these days because of the Olympic run off but eventually I would be curious to see how the cruiserweights muscle up & compete with the Super Bigs....I see a lot of talent at the top of these 2 divisions

dont get me wrong a size advantange would not be suited for everyone but size didnt help in the 20's 40's or the 50's

Jess Willard vs Corrie Sanders for the new WBA Trans-Atlantic Superheavywt Championship, fought at the City of Havana, where "shading your eyes during being k.o.'ed", is allowed.

Let me put it this way.

The winner of Usky Gassiev, is not going to be content beating up other cruisers for ever.

I think that the big boys are going to get a test!

Both are 6 foot 3 or better with 77-78" reaches. Will they not be "big boys" when they arrive in the heavy ranks?

Sanders wasn't allowed to ply his trade in an era of midgets. The only guy who bombed him out rather quickly was 6-4 with an 80 inch reach and some real, tho largely untapped, talent. The two others able to stop Sanders during "prime" (or post prime) years were able to drag him into deep waters and drown him.

No, Sanders did not have the championship stuff upstairs. But he had enough going on below the neck to take care those who entirely lacked his substantial physical gifts.

But while he's talking about size...this is the part where I'll note that Lennox, Vitali, Wlad, Bowe, and Sanders have a combined 14 losses.

None of them were to fighters less than 210 lbs.

One was to a fighter less than 215 (Vitali's injury retirement vs Byrd).

One more was to a fighter less than 220 (Bowe vs Holyfield in the Fan Man fight).

None of the others were to anyone less than 225.

So, those guys had dozens of fights vs rated contenders between them over the course of over a couple hundred fights, and a whopping two guys under 225 picked up wins.

I mean, I guess in a one off anything is possible... but it's not even an insult to suggest these little guys can't overcome physics. Henry Armstrong is an incredible fighter, and it's no rip on him to say Adonis Stevenson and Kovalev beat him. But somehow it's hating on guys when undersized swarmers like Rock and Frazier aren't favored to routinely take out world class dudes 50 pounds heavier?

The list of ATG 240 pound guys is very very short.

Who are they? And were they even always 240?

Lennox Lewis won just 16 of 44 fights weighing 240lb or over. He drew at that size to a guy giving away 30lb for one of them. And he’s the best one!

Another famous 240 pounder is Bowe. Riddick was only 240lb or above for 10 of his 40 fights. Only Seven of those fights were wins in the true sense of the word.

Who do we have after that Wlad? He was knocked out twice to guys giving away almost 20lb.

So it seems these jumbo sized guys are more likely to lose while giving away weight, and it seems this weight is mostly artificial anyway..

If we limit 240lb ATG’s to guys who never weighed less than 240lb we are left with just Primo Carnera as the GOAT.

The fact that Rocky never faced one of any quality means the jury is still out as to how he would fare against one.Emmanuel Steward is on film saying Marciano would be too small for modern heavyweights ,is that purely a monomaniacal obsession with size on his part?

My concern is how he handles a south- paw ,I don't think he ever met one.
