Both big hitters, but I would say Morrison was the better fighter technically and perhaps hit a bit harder too. When he wanted too, Morrison could put really good combination's together and had quite good handspeed. I'll go with Morrison early, but if Sanders lands, there's always the possibility Morrison's fragile jaw will crack. Intriguing fight.
Personally, I'm going with Sanders. A fast starting, quick-handed puncher is bad news for Morrison in my honest opinion. Of course, looking back on the Nate Tubbs fight, the same could probably be said in reverse, but I still like Corrie nonetheless. Sanders by KO or stoppage before round 5.
This would be a fan's favorite type of match up. I think Sanders is the better boxer, has the better speed, and takes the better punch. I'd go with Sanders, but Morrison always has a puncher's chance with his left hook. The trouble is the punch doesn't seem to land as clean on southpaws.
I think that Sander's is overrated by many as a puncher. Punch for punch, I think Riddick Bowe may have hit harder. Sanders was uniquely fast for a big man. Sanders' speed is the main component of the Wlad ko. Wladimir had no answer for that fast ball down the middle. I believe Sanders would beat Morrison to the punch in this fight. I may have stated that I believe Sanders' to have overrated power, but that doesn't mean he couldn't punch. Sanders by mid round ko
I pick Sanders by early round knockout. I don't see any possible way that Morrison could avoid Sanders's lightning quick, devastating left crosses. Tommy simply didn't have the defense to avoid getting hit by someone as quick as Sanders. Sanders's capacity to land would be increased by his southpaw advantage. And, of course, Tommy did not have the durability to absorb Sanders's power.
I agree with everything you say except for the fight going into the mid-rounds. In truth, if Morrison were to survive Sanders's early round blitz, then he would turn the tables on the fading Sanders later on and win by kayo. But I cannot imagine Morrison surviving Sanders's early round blitzkrieg.
I do not see Tommy getting past the early rds. Tommy has a punchers chance but very little IMO...Sanders had fast hands, real good power and a lefty to boot...If he only had condition
I THINK DUE TO SANDERS BEING A SOUTH PAW WITH VERY QUICK HANDS/.......AND A PISTON STRAIGHT LEFT HAND WOULD KNOCK TOMMY MORRISON OUT IN 2RDS........BAD STYLE FOR TOMMY....TOMMY HAD A HARD TIME WITH JOE HIPP AND YOURI VAULIN.....LOST ALL 5 RDS TILL HE HIT VAULIN TO THE BODY AND THE RUSSIAN QUIT...../.......SANDERS 2 RD TKO:smoke
Sanders easily. Morrison is s complete nothing who sturggled against less than credible challenges like Joe Hipp, Michael Bent, Yuri Vaulenn and a shottter-than-shot Carl Williams.
Sanders technically better when he wanted to be. Pickem fight as far as Im concerned. The fight would get rough as both liked to mix it up. Whoever lands first wins, although Sanders had the edge in handspeed.
Pickem fight, both bangers, both open to being, Morrison maybe better defensively, a better boxer who was stronger, also if it goes past 2 rounds (which it may not) then Morrison will take over Since Rahman managed to survive and stop Sanders its likely Morrison would too Morrison KO7
If Morrison is focused and does not open crazy he can win otherside he runs right into Corrie's power and it's over ...
