Maruisz Wach - UD Sanders Alex Lepai - Early KO Sanders Alexander Povetkin - Late KO Povetkin 8-10th round Kubrat Pulev - UD Pulev Tony Thompson - MD Thompson David Haye - Mid Round KO Sanders Jean Mormeck - 4th round ko Sanders
No way dude Sanders blasts thru them all, tho I think Haye would be running just to survive and Pov would get up, but still lose a decision. Funny thing was Sanders matched Hayes handspeed, but didn't have to load up one punch at a time, Sanders would rain 3-4 punches in a split second plus he had an awkward southpaw style. He even had Vitali backpedaling, PRIME Vitali.
Wlad is a unique fighter and fights absolutely nothing like Sanders. I could see Sanders getting KO'd or decisioned by a few of them (mostly decisioned really).
really? i dont think a big southpaw with very fast hands and LEGIT Heavyweight power would find it hard to knock out david haye. I know david haye is the best heavyweight fastest, strongest, skillful on this site who is unbeatable in fantasy matches against every top heavyweight that ever lived.
can we get back to the thread asked. these triangle theories get a bit boring sometimes. im not asking about lewis vs sanders. how do you think sanders does with those up top.
Look you're overrating Sanders ability because he blasted out Wladimir Klitschko. Ever since that Klitschko encounter a lot of Klitschko fans have been trying to make Sanders out to be this Murderous puncher neglecting the fact that Sanders was a career 67% KO puncher. Decent KO ratio but not that impressive when you consider the fact that majority of Sanders opposition besides the Klitschko brothers and Hasim Rahman were cans. The only advantage Sanders has in this matchup is height. David Haye is highly elusive and is more skilled than Sanders. Sanders has a punchers chance but I envision Haye leading on the scorecards before catching Sanders with a counter somewhere midway the 5th round. :deal
Sanders was also Ko'd by worse fighters than david haye, but David hayes speed is his main quality, and i think he is just a little bit faster than sanders. sanders however hits harder and that sneaky left was very accurate down the pipe. i can haye trying to counter punch and walking into a big left will which knock him out. Hayes Heavyweight run isnt all that. chisora, valuev were his best wins - chisora's punching technique is **** and valuev barely landed in what was a dreadful fight. You got to remember the klitchkos vitali and wlad hardly lose any rounds, left alone be ko'd or hurt as sanders did to both of them. :deal
I was just showing VVMM the insignificance of the triangle theory. I agree with most of your picks but I think Haye would be tricky enough to find a way to survive even if it meant giving up early rounds by running away. IMO Haye by UD or 9th-10th round TKO Sanders was a very erratic fighter, on his best day with the exception of Wach he could knock them all out early.
I mean vitali was eating serious leather vs Sanders and sanders was getting beat down and toughed it out, he showed heart there, He showed more heart in his toe than david haye. He went too war vs the klitchkos. That too me esclipes anything haye has ever done at heavyweight. David gets too much credit for going 12rounds with wlad, and without throwing a punch, I know david haye is the most elusive fighter that ever entered the ring, he makes pernell whitaker look stiff. But haye is not eating the shots that vitali took, never know way. and haye can be hit, chisora showed that one. And sanders is better than del boy. a Cold sanders would get ko'd by haye, a motivated sanders vs a peak david haye. Sanders KO
Sanders 67 KO ratio against mostly bums says he's not that "accurate down the pipe" as you say. You say Hayes best wins are Valuev and Chisora, but fail to mention his accomplishment as a cruiserweight. Besides those guys are no worse than the guys Wlamir has beaten. Sanders has a punchers chance and that about it. Every other advantage in that match up goes to David Haye.
I dont mention cruiserweight achievements in a heavyweight scenario. David haye gets caught when hes not on his bike for 12rounds. And when he eventually gets caught, its over. Thats my opinion anyway, when his cruiserweight speed doesnt look so frightening against sanders your taking alot away from david hayes ****nal. I havent even seen Haye dominate a man behind a jab or anything like that, his Knockouts are impressive, his boxing skills = overated.
The slightly lowered KO% was a product of Sanders generally poor cardio and is not necessarily a reflection on his punching power. The average time it took to KO his opponents was 1.7 rounds, In his entire career he never had a stoppage victory past 6 rounds. He quite simply couldn't maintain his punching power over the course of an entire fight. The Rahman fight is a great example of this. In the first 3 rounds of their fight, Sanders has Rahman going several time and even KOs him with Rahman unconscious on the ropes for some seconds. If the ref was right on the action, the fight could very well have been stopped right there. We saw in the fight with iron chinned Vitali who absorbed every shot Lewis through at him without much trouble was all over the place from only one short Sanders left hook. Both men have said that Sanders is the hardest puncher they have ever fought in their careers. Another thing to note was that like other modern HWs Sanders spent his entire career fighting big heavyweights(median opponent weight being 222 pounds), so he was knocking out grown HWs his entire career not sub cruisers that fighters of the past were facing (e.g Marciano median opponent weight= 193 pounds).
