The slightly lowered KO% was a product of Sanders generally poor cardio and is not necessarily a reflection on his punching power. The average time it took to KO his opponents was 1.7 rounds, In his entire career he never had a stoppage victory past 6 rounds. In the first 3 rounds of their fight, Sanders has Rahman going several time and even KOs him with Rahman unconscious on the ropes for some seconds. If the ref was right on the action, the fight could very well have been stopped right there.
We saw in the fight with iron chinned Vitali who absorbed every shot Lewis through at him without much trouble was all over the place from only one short Sanders left hook. Both men have said that Sanders is the hardest puncher they have ever fought in their careers.

Another thing to note was that like other modern HWs Sanders spent his entire career fighting big heavyweights(median opponent weight being 222 pounds), so he was knocking out grown HWs his entire career not sub cruisers that fighters of the past were facing (e.g Marciano median opponent weight= 193 pounds).

He also dispatched a Shot Carlos de leon in 1 round, easy work. Im not saying haye is going to be destroyed in a round, but he wont survive a left hand from sanders, and it will come. Sanders power is better than hayes. also haye has a tendency to swing his punches, rather than keep them straight. a straight punch always beat wild hooks. :deal

I know david haye is the most elusive fighter that ever entered the ring, he makes pernell whitaker look stiff. But haye is not eating the shots that vitali took, never know way. and haye can be hit, chisora showed that one. And sanders is better than del boy. a Cold sanders would get ko'd by haye, a motivated sanders vs a peak david haye. Sanders KO

I'm not saying he would be elusive, I'm saying he would be literally running for the first 4-5 rounds. Very rarely staying closer than a foot away from Sanders. While Sanders had great handspeed and brilliantly timed counterpunches, his footspeed wasn't that great.
Haye would never come stalking sanders like Wlad and Vitali did. He'd be on his bicycle until Sanders slows down. Then he'd get on him.

If Haye comes on aggressively like he did against Chisora, he gets sparked. He wouldn't fight that way against Sanders, if he had any intelligence.

No doubt. If he took that shot Vitali got caught coming in with, he'd be in a coma.

Sanders was old mid 30s when he beat wlad and gave vitali some troubles. haye probably thought he could go in and knock him out. haye only really ran about and didnt engage when he was against much taller men. valuev,klitchko and harrison rofl

If Haye gets *****y and tries to get at Corrie early,he gets knocked out plain and simple. However as you have listed Haye has shown the ability and willingness to get on his bicycle in some fights. I think that's what he does here.

Sanders was a taller opponent at 6-4 so is that a further indication that Haye would run??:think
