Corrie Sanders vs. Zhilei Zhang in the early rounds.

A (successful) day in the life of @Boxed Ears !!!!!

 

Did someone say Boxed Ears? If so, saying it two more times could be dangerous, as that's when he appears.

 

Zhang doesn't seem to be particularly good at dealing with boxers who have quick hands (Parker, Hrgovic). It's also going to be awkward dealing with an opposing southpaw who has a lethal, laser like left hand that's hard to anticipate.

Zhang is huge and very durable, but speed kills and Zhang isn't going to be using any fancy moves to dodge or block what's coming back at him. On the other hand, Sanders couldn't even finish off the pretty straightforward Rahman whose not as big or durable as Zhang, and Sanders had questionable endurance.

So what this matchup boils down to is who is able to land consistently enough and who tires out first. I do not trust Zhang's gas tank at all, but I trust his chin. So if both guys are tired, Zhang should be able to eventually wear Sanders down. But if Zhang gets tired first, Sanders might eventually bring down the big man with enough flush lefts to the dome.

Sanders in the first rounds was the only one to make kneel Vitaly.

He could do the same with Zhang thanks to his fast hands and chin.
