Corrie Sanders who KO'ed Wlad. Would he do same to 2014 Wlad?

What is often forgotten about Sanders is that he was very fast for a HW. He had skills. Just not much care for training, evidently, which was the reason he wasn't much more successful than he already was.

He DIDNT have $$$$$ for training.

His fight with Rahman brought him less than 40K. His fight with Sprott, where he was the A sider, brought him 50K.

His promoter was ****, and he only got 100K for Wlad.

Vs Vitali, he still only got a 50/50 split of the tv revenue and gate, and that was less than 500K fighting for a second world title.:patsch

    Yes.
Some people seem to think that it was a lucky shot or something but Sander's was thoroughly out boxing Wlad for that short but decisive fight. He was beating him to the punch, disrupted Wlad's jab, roughed him up in close and countered at will. I don't really see what Wlad could do differently, as his jab would still be neutralized. Wlad without a jab is just a guy who likes to hug.
That Sanders stops any version of Wlad. This is not to say that Sanders is a greater fighter, but he just has Wlad's number.

Wlad's footwork and defense is immeasurably better than it was then

Yes, but that defense is entirely based on clinching and stiff arming Sander's roughed him up when he tried to clinch. Stiff arm (which is illegal btw) only works on shorter guys.
His footwork is a bit better, but he still backs straight away to avoid being hit. Works great on short or slow fighters. Sander's was big enough and fast enough that he still tags him with hard shots.

I am/was a Sanders fan, so no disputing that he'd always be a risk to Wlad, but Wlad's ability to jumb back out of range is much, much better than it was then. jus sayin

It's a fun idea that Corrie Sanders carries the Klitschkonite, but even if he as some talent and skill Wladimir Klitschko is better in several ways. It shouldn't be ruled out that he figures out some way to deal with Sanders. Wlad would probably be nervous as hell, but if he had some plans worked out he would surely stick to them.

Common sense tells us Sanders wouldn't be able to pull it off over and over again. What reality would tell us, we'll never know.

I dont count sanders out. Just a bad matchup for wlad. He doesn't seem to be able to avoid the southpaw cross very well... you make the guy firing it 6'5", make him fast, and powerful, and i think wlads always going to be troubled by it.

But i imagine a very negative wlad would spoil over 12 to win a ud.

Of course not. Wlad is in his chin prime.

So now people like HerrolGee and your buddy are thinking Wlad is such an awful boxer he has to pay people to let him win?!? He's a murderer as well!?!?

I feel like Wlad is much more defensively responsible now. I do agree Corrie's style would always be troubling for him though. I guess that 9 outa 10 times Wlad gets past some awkward early moments and takes over halfway through the 3rd. He then stops Sanders in 5-7 rounds. The other 1 outa 10 Sanders beats the sh!t outa him and Wlad slumps in his corner looking confused and humiliated while his big brother starts yelling challenges trying to spoil Corries big moment.
