Corrie "The Sniper" Sanders vs Anthony "AJ" Joshua

Corrie was KO'd by Rahman. How did this happen? Could it be that in the HW division more so than any other division, anyone can get sparked out at any given time. You haters are reaching and this is a baconhater thread.

 

Exactly the kind of guy that if he was around today Wilder would duck like the plague.

 

He was also way past prime when he was sparked by Rahman. You think the old and fat version of Sanders is fast? You should have seen him when he was young and actually cared about training and food.

 

Sanders was a decent fighter but Wlad fans make him out to be one of the best ever, Joshua would pulverise him.

 

Sanders was a one trick pony from what I saw, he just looked to counter with fast straight lefts. For a Wlad back then his style matched up horribly to Sanders. Wlad like now liked to lead, difference was back then he had a wide stance and after throwing would just stand in front of his opponent open to a counter, he wouldn't move away for clinch like he would later learn to do.

As for Joshua, he's turning into a natural counter puncher, he prefers to sit back at a distance, jab, wait for openings and counter i combinations. So style wise he isn't at as a big disadvantage as Wlad back then.

But Sanders would be dangerous. While Joshua does move more than young Wlad he does have a bad habit of sometimes being too stationary which led to the right hand that dropped him against Wlad. But I'd favour AJ to come out victorious after the odd tough moment.

Just watch his fight with Rahman and you see the level Sanders really was. He was dangerous could hurt you but he couldn't even put away an out of shape Rahman when he had him. AJ jas shown he can ride out bad moments twice now, I think even if he his caught he can turn it back around.

 

Can you imagine that first straight left Sanders cracked Wladimir with catching Wilder??

It lifted 245lb Wlad off his feet.

 

If lefty Nistor could knock Joshua senseless with headgear... Sanders can manage the same

Whyte had Anthony on ***** Street. Wlad almost had him out after dropping him like a sack of potatoes. It's not like your boy Anthony is invincible

 

Did he lose to Rahman before he beat Wlad?

 

You only rate him because he beat Wlad, if that didn't happen you wouldn't know who he was.

Corrie's sparring partners have said his shots are heavy and the main problem is not being able to see them coming because of the weird angles and speed.
