Sanders is a southpaw...Joshua CRUSHES southpaws with that counter right hand! you will see when he fights Ortiz how this would play out.

Sanders was good, a southpaw with excellent timing and power, and he obliterated Klitschko. That was awesome, but if you can take his punch and take him a little deeper where he'd start gassing you can tee off on him, and most likely force a stoppage, similar to what Vitali did. But sanders will always be dangerous early, but then again so would Joshua. It comes down to who takes the better punch.

Cooper was a WHALE when he fought Sanders an absolute PIG. I believe he weighed in the 240's for that fight. He was 215 for Holyfield and extremely motivated!!

Copper was all over the place at ALL points of his career. You never knew what guy was going to show up. Years before he fought Holyfield he quit against Reggie Gross who was at best a career opponent, losing in 1 to Tyson and in 2 to Ruddock, and losing to a fighter who was 1-3, younger Cooper also lost to Bigfoot Martin who everyone beat .. The bottom line is anyone could beat Cooper if he wasn't in his right mind or decided he didn't want to fight, or train, or was abusing drugs. I really liked Cooper but I remember when he had some real momentum and then was DESTROYED by Carl "The Truth" Williams on cbs.. I also remember after he had had the two very impressive fights even in defeat against Holyfield and Moorer He then traveled over to China and lost to Mike Weaver who was a million years old at the time !!!! Good old Bert..

    About Sanders
I acquired all of Sanders fights back then thru my overseas trading partners as each happened so I have all of them and have seen them all.. I was always very impressed with how quickly he would dispatch even durable journeyman, he always had fast hands and really good power!! Guys like Duplooy ko1, Billups, Mike Williams both ko1's I remember when I got the Nate Tubbs fight where Sanders was put to sleep in 2 and thought that's a shame.

Then after rebuilding a bit he got The Rahman fight and it was a classic, both men hurt and down early and often.

But Rahman did take his best and came thru and stopped Corrie, I think Rahman is underrated quite a bit, up until losing the Lewis rematch he was a very good heavyweight.

As far as Sanders vs Joshua if Corrie Landed early he could get that possible early KO but I think Joshua will overwhelm him and stop him inside 5 rounds.

I hear ya man. When I heard that news that he'd been murdered by cowards I was irate. And to tell you the truth... the boxing community could have payed a little more respect to him. I disappointed by the lack of respect.

Still am considering the pieces of **** in the thread going out of their way to belittle the guy.

No actually he doesn't. Before Peter, there was an earlier Nigerian behemoth that played in the National Football League 1980s that went by that alias. His name was Christian Okoye.

Some members of the boxing community paid tribute to him and there were obituay articles about him in the sports pages of most of the main newspapers in the UK.

I remember getting into it with some POS on another forum who called him a bum literally only a few days after he died.

Immediately upon pondering this match-up, I think about how short and exciting such a fight might have been.

However... as soon as I start to actually consider the outcome (as opposed to initially being thrilled about the potential fireworks) a major dose of reality finally sets in. And it is at that point when I am immediately reminded of a "prime" Corrie Sanders being wiped out in just 2 Rounds by journeyman Nate Tubbs... and the version of Sanders who was blown away by Tubbs wasn't the old, "partially retired" golfer that ran over Wladimir like a freight train. Wlad was actually on the verge of a title shot and had been knocking out most of prior his opposition, circa the Sanders defeat. He had 41 fights at the time and was no greenhorn.

In my opinion, a Sanders fight against (the currently "still green") Joshua could come down to whoever manages to get their shots off first having the edge. Corrie's best chances would be to let his hands go early, like he did against Wladimir. The problem is, unlike Wladimir's approach that night in Germany, current Joshua looks to throw early too. If AJ lands first, Sanders's chances rapidly deteriorate. We've seen this happen to him before on more than one occasion. AJ has the temperament to take it to Corrie before 'The Sniper' can set him up for those sharp lefts.

Even if current AJ were to get hit, we have seen him recuperate and come back stronger, therefore there is much evidence to support the belief that he'd still weather the storm. Hasim Rahman managed to do just that when he knocked out a rejuvenated "pre-Klitschko" version of Sanders... and we know that despite some of Rock's credentials, his punch resistance and ability to recover after being tagged weren't exactly his greatest qualities as a fighter.

I have today's "work in progress" version of Anthony Joshua stopping any version of Corrie Sanders he could possibly face. It could be an entertaining scrap for however long it lasts. I don't believe Joshua is unbeatable, but I don't think he loses this fight.

Yep! I went back and forth with sleazebags on here too because of that. They were even cracking jokes about the circumstances of his death! There are boxer that I don't like but I would NEVER joke about their death or being in a coma like some sacks of **** on here.

SAME stuff happened with Tommy Morrison after he died.
