I think Burns lost, but as generally 'hardcore' fans why all the outrage? You should know full well boxing politics will always play its part. To think along boxing politics lines: It is in the interest of everyone that Burns keeps the belt, and that includes Beltran. Raymundo gets more money and publicity for a rematch after being robbed, than winning the belt and defending it next in Mexico against a no name... Anyone who posts on here should not really get on their high horse. You know what boxing is like, it is not going to change anytime soon, just sigh, chuckle and get on talking about the next fight.
How the **** is it in the best interest of Beltran,Eddie has stated they will not be giving him a rematch. Also Ray is with Top Rank who always deliver good fights for their champions.Chances are Ray would be involved in unifications and be earning very good money for him and his family.A mans's dreams and lively hood have been made a mockery of and you think its in the best interest of the sport. **** post
Beltran will get a money fight off of this. It is clearly in the interests of the sport that Burns keeps the crown. It will lead SKY to showing another fight with Burns, something they are unlikely to of done with Beltran if he had won. You might not like that, but it is the truth and it is part of the sport. Boxing can make a mockery out of a man's livelihood and dreams. Yes that is cruel, but that is boxing. You have been posting around here long enough to realize that surely?
There are a lot of people who wont want to see another fight with Burns as champion though and I am one of them,on the back of his last two performances you cant honestly say he deserves to be world champion. He has done well in his career but his time as champion is being dragged out in order for promotors and tv execs to make a quick buck.I hear what your saying that boxing is a business and sometimes some decisions make more money than sense but there has to be somewhere to draw the line and last night they stepped over it.
I admire your passion. But it will not get anywhere. Boxing is what it is, and always has been. From virtually day one it was corrupted, that is not going to change because an unknown Mexican paid the price of fighting a world title holder with home field advantage. Just glaze over the corruption, it will make you appreciate it that bit more when it is brilliant; and that might happen next week.
That result was a disgrace and makes casuals turn away from boxing, There should be a system in place where such bad calls can be looked at and reversed for the good of boxing, Beltran should be awarded the fight and belt its only fair, **** Sky, **** Hearn both corrupt as ****, Boxing is the most corrupt sport going
