Devin Haney vs Garcia. One judge had it a draw despite Haney getting knocked down 3 times and landed 19 less total punches including 50 less power punches. He lost to Loma too. These are just some of the dubious decisions and corruption that goes on in boxing. One judge scored it a draw for Canelo vs Mayweather. Canelo won maybe one round. Maloney was robbed of a world title also in 2020. Danny Green vs Beyer another bad decision. There are many. GGG vs Canelo. Who else? Adelaide Byrd was a shocking judge. Very corrupt.
The guy who scored a draw for Haney v Garcia only dissented on 2 rounds. One before the knockdowns. Thats the difference between a draw and a 4 point Garcia win. Boxing is scored on a round by round basis with no regard paid to who people will think deserved to win at the end of it. I think boxing judges do a pretty good job and the main culprit behind judging controversy is fights being 12 rounds.
That judge in the Callum Simpson (Victor Laughlin) fight who put his head in his hands when Simpson was dropped and had him ahead inexplicably Adelaide bird obviously in multiple fights Multiple refs I won't even start on it
It has been going on since boxing begun sadly. Doubt it will change. Not just boxing judge scorecard’s but also the decisions made in dark smoke filled rooms with long tables rather than in the ring.
