I just noticed something else. This guy says that all of those losses were in the opponents home town. Toney is from Michigan and lives in Sherman Oaks. His fight with Oquendo was over 100 miles away at a resort town that Toney had never fought in. Oliver McCall is from Chicago and lives in Virginia. His fight with Oquendo was in Florida. He fought at the same venue just before and just after facing Oquendo there and lost both fights via unanimous decision. Safe to say he was not benefitting from home cooking. Evander Holyfield is from Atlanta, their fight was in Texas. Chris Byrd was from Michigan and lives in Las Vegas. Their fight was in Connecticut at a venue Byrd had never fought at (I think he only fought in Connecticut one other time).
Don't let facts get in the way of a good story... Fres fights negatively, and often. Its not exactly fighter, but it has been relatively consistent in boxing history; Negative fighting with spoil tactics can lead to robberies, even if you are able to land more against your opponent and stay away from his offense. Boxers should know they need to do more fighting.
Exactly, I can understand a guy sticking up for his fighter but the losers are always telling the winners what they did wrong
