Was it Nady that reffed Pauli-N'Dou? That fight could have been interesting of N'Dou had of been allowed to work inside.

 

That was Cotton, and you're right, he wouldn't allow anything resembling the two fighters getting close together.

Cortez is the best big fight ref by a mile, he won't let Hatton get away with doing to much bull **** but enough that they can't complain.

Cortez needs to retire. He's more shot as a ref than Evander Holyfield is as a fighter.

 

Cortez is the non-offensive, compromise choice. He gives the fight credibility, but I don't think he's an elite ref these days. And I hate the stupid slogans.

I think Bayless would have been a good choice, because you need a young, quick ref who can position himself properly to determine when Ricky is fighting on the inside and when he's holding. I'm not sure Cortez can keep up with the pace.

 

Bayless's slogan is of "What I say, you most obey" is worse than Cortez's.

I agree with Bayless being a better choice. He's a very good ref.
