Heh heh heh old man pops will be elbowing the **** out of Calslappy inside just like Floyd did to Hatton :happy :happy

With any luck Cortez will deduct points again, I can't wait to see that ***** Enzo bitching in the post fight interview.

I think this is good news for Calzaghe, because Cortez will keep things running by the book. If Hopkins hits Calzaghe to the back of the head or after the bell, this guy will take a point off and it could even all end up with a DQ for Bernard...

    :deal

I don't think so. FMJ had his elbow jammed in Hatton's throat all night and barely got a warning

And before i get accused of being a PBF hater, I'd like to mention that i think FMJ would've won the fight regardless of the ref, and that I also bet alot of money on Floyd to win that fight.

I liked the way in which PBF was defending himself from Hatton's passionate embraces, to be honest. I thought it was borderline acceptable. He got away with it a bit too much, but Hatton was allowed to get a bit too close and personal too at times...

The ref was very active and intrusive, but that's because Hatton wanted to turn it into the kind of stunt he pulled against Tszyu...which was way over the acceptable line...

Yeah possible the only way Hopkins can win using his elbows but if you have seen any of Calzaghes` fights you`ll know when boxers try and dick with him they end up floored that very round so would be a stupid move by Hopkins to even try it.
Any news on Hopkins or is he still in hiding with his million dollar dream team? hahahah

Yes, and Hopkins is just the right kind of guy to fight mad against....

I seem to remember that ring legend that Joe fought a few fights ago dropping the nut on him all night and getting away with it, did Joe floor that guy in the round he landed the headbutt :huh

Let's hope he doesn't stand for hitting with an open glove (slapping). It's illegal.

Cortez only favours the out-fighter when he is being paid to do so.

I don't really think that the ref will matter here just like it didn't matter in the Mayweather vs Hatton fight. Joe will win even if Bernard's wife is the ref.

That should end the discussion about referees.

Now that's clear interference. He clearly pushes Bika, then starts massaging Calzaghe's pecs! Honey are you okay?

Only thing I have to say is, "With them appointing Cortez as a ref, they just ****ed up a great night of boxing." Too old, too slow, and clearly not the best ref for this fight. Steve Smoger, Kenny Bayless, or the other black ref (not Richard Steele).

WEll...if Cortez is the ref and he interferes with in-fighting like he loves to do...then Bernard's in trouble !
