Soto barely grazed the back of Lorenzo's head when he was down, and Cortez never intervened to stop the fight or break them apart.. This kind of **** makes me want them to be able to use replays because Cortez is a horrible judge..
The punch Soto hit Lorenzo with at the floor was accidental and not that damaging... a worse case scenario was when Barrera hit Marquez on the floor and he wasnt DQ'd... Cortez made a bad call there is not much we can do about it except to give Soto credit for his unofficial victory and move on. And maybe demand a Soto-Valero fight. :hey
I hated how after the interview on what happened, Cortez finishes it by saying, "I'm fair and firm". Does he say that in his f'n sleep or when he looks at himself in the mirror?
All the boxing analist are calling it a disgrace, some are even asking for Cortez to retire. I have not seen anyone defend his decision. It's looking real bad for Mr. "fair but firm".
omfg, When a boxer is bending over bobbing and weaving to allude punches his head is basically at the same height off the ground as if he was on ONE KNEE! That last grazing blow that boxers land on guys when they're in a lot of action trying to finish an opponent off ALMOST ALWAYS OCCURS. Why don't we see half the boxers getting DQ'd then??!?!? They didn't stop the fight because of that cut in the back of the head! I mean that was just bull****, The guy was DEAD he got mauled and nearly killed. He was bleeding out of his eye, nose, mouth, and the back of the head and they just blatantly picked the cut that happened LAST off the LAST ACCIDENTAL G R A Z E D hit to make the ruling a disqualification. gtfo of here with "Rules are Rules" ****ing nerd. :fingerThe fight was a disgrace
