Twas a **** fight. Cote has no shot at beating Silva. For one thing, dude's going to have to work on his conditioning. Did you see how exhausted he was after that fight? There really was not that much action the whole three rounds and he could barely hold himself up straight....

that was a **** fight because of ALMEIDA, not because of Cote...
Almeida just wanted to bring him down..
and what the **** not much action..do you know HOW MUCH it is exhausting be against the fence trying to not to be taking down?that is the MOST exhausting thing in MMA..

He'd get absolutely taken to school by Silva. But then so would anyone in the division.

Well, I don't think that would matter seeing as Franklin's shot standing against Silva turned out to be about as good as mine. ;)

Man Almeida's takedowns are poor, he has no wrestling explosiveness at all, if Cote can't 'sprawl & brawl' authoritively against him, he'll struggle to go much further.

I'll go out on a limb and back Silva :yep

Sorry my two points were not related - Cote will lose to a far lesser fighter than Silva. However if they DO fight SIlva will brutalize him.

ps GSP has a much better chance of beating Silva than Cote :yep

Silva has been beating up submission guys and wrestlers, Cote is the first good standup guy he has fought in a while.....Not that Cote is at Anderson's level but exchanging with a guy with KO power is always intersting. I think Cote will put up a better fight then people think.

I love Cote (canadians supports Canadians) and because I support him, Id rather have him train under Silva so that he would have a valid excuse if he didnt have to fight him. It'll also save him some major hospital bills

Not his fault it was a boring fight. I think he'll lose to Silva, but it'll be more exciting than a fight with anyone else at this point. Besides, who else should get it?
