    This fight won't happen.

    Bring on Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Pac has never even been in a catch weight fight yet. if the bigger men want the fight should they not compromise.

Yes, it matters. The welterweight limit is 147. It was 147 before there was any such thing as light welter. Catchweights are not needed.

There'd be nothing to talk about here if that happened.

Like many have said. Cotto needs Manny, Manny doesn't need Cotto. Manny can easily take a fight with Mosley who has the no problems meeting Manny at a catchweight.

If Cotto wants a fight a 147 he should let Manny have a tune up fight. If he wants him right away than he should hit the gym and meet Manny at a catchweight. Since people here want to cry about fairness.

i hear what your saying boo but its cotto that wants manny. its cotto that already stated 144 (and now 145).

either way, the fight will go down @ a catchweight.

    who you got?

Last I checked, it was the Welters who were calling out a Jr. Welter. If that's the case, and they want a chance at the cash cow, they're gonna have to fight at a catchweight, plain and simple.

If you don't like catchweights, tell these Welters to call someone out who's their own ****ing size.

Geez, there are some ****ing clueless ****s around here.

Well old ass DelaHoya had no business drying out to 147, Roach didn't ask for a catchweight. When you talk about a natural welter in his prime, suddenly they need a catchweight. Don't ****ing talk about fairness in this situation.

145 or above, Cotto. At a full 147 he'd leave Pac for dead. 144 or below, Pac has a much better chance. The bottom line is the welteweight limit is 147.

DelaHoya was the one who wanted the fight. Your an idiot if you thought Manny can move up all the way to Junior Middleweight after barely fighting at lightweight. DelaHoya would have had the weight advantage for sure in the fight if that happened(which wouldn't have made a difference since Forbes already whipped DelHoya before he fought Manny).

Why should Manny give Cotto the advantage and fight Cotto in his own weight class? Thats why catchweight were invented so bs advantages like this were taken out. UFC does it all the time. Maybe MMA fans are right boxing fans are sissies. Seriously I wish boxing was like the old days so I don't have to here silly excuses like this.

What's wrong with catchweights? There are weight divisions to make fights fair. Why hurt one fighter a lot instead of hurting both a little?

yes, will roach let manny fight above 142?...I don't think so....

I think roach wants floyd, because floyd is a small welter.

You're right it does....I read the same thing yesterday.....sometimes pride gets in the way of common sense....I just hope Cotto doesn't get suckered into it the way Oscar did.
