THe Hoya-Pac fight was at a catchweight, I think. Hoya was fighting at 154 and Pac just came from a 135 fight (his first above 130). So they met half way for the event to happen and not be much of a circus (which it was anyway).

If Cotto was able to weigh in at 146 for Clottey, then I understand his thinking that he can make 145 and still be at his same condition during the Clottey fight.

Having said that, I hope Pac fights Cotto at the WW limit even if he gets outweighed, for him to get full credit. But I doubt it, since fans are already dismissing Cotto as a finished fighter.

If he is god then why is everyone expecting Pac to move up in weight to meet his challenges.

If they want to fight him they should come to meet him or at least meet in the middle.

    MOSELY: 160 fight night
    PACQUIAO: 147 fight night.

The whole system is ******ed. A fighter weighing 160 when they are supposed to be fighting in a weight class of 147.

Fighters should come into the fight the same weight as they are training at. All the weight de-hydration bull**** opens up the chance for the haters to degrade peoples victories. It's also extremely unhealthy and is probably the cause of some of boxing most serious brain injuries.

One good thing you can say about Mayweather is he has the right idea, he doesn't weight drain, stays in pristine shape and enters the ring the same weight as he was training in.

Did you know that Pac is the number 1 pound for pound fighter in the world? Cotto needs the fight with Pac not the other way round. The challenger meets the demands of the P1P number 1.

Maybe....But the rematch with Floyd will be at WW anyway so it's not like Oscar he conceeded much. The Forbes fight was a prelude for him to drain down to 147 for the Mayweather rematch.

If they KO each other and then retire, that will be good news. Mayweather will be forced to fight Mosley!

I'm not sure but you may have experienced an 'alien abduction', key evidence being that one of the main symptoms is a loss of time, in your case about 10 months or so, where de la hoya didnt rematch floyd, he fought manny pacqiuo, got his ass whopped, realised he was a bit old to fight at his best anymore, then he retired, so no, nothing to do with a mayweather rematch or anything, sorry mate

If it's not alien abduction, living in a parallel universe is also a good explanation.

I dont knw why you need to look for science mumbo-jumbo to look at the logic of my post. He is claiming that the PAC-HOYA fight was at catch weight. I said maybe, but the Mayweather-Hoya rematch is gonna happen at 147 anyway, so he didn't made so much concession. Of course we KNOW the rematch didnt pushed thru as FMJ backed out, the point is Oscar was planning to fight at WW anyway. IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH?
