Ok, this "1 lb is A LOT" bull**** needs to stop. Yeah, it's a lot, if they tell him a week before the fight that he needs to lose an extra pound. But it's NOTHING, if there's 4 months to go until the fight. It's not like Cotto comes into the right completely shredded. His body fat isn't that low. With proper training and dieting, there's still plenty of fat he can lose before he starts losing muscle mass.

Cotto should not have fought Clottey then? :rofl
But how come he won the fight despite the headbutt? Isn't that an indication that he's strong at 146?
Again, what is your basis that a difference of one pound would drain Cotto when as you said he can revert back to his ideal fighting weight? Pac can only come at 147 at fight night, Cotto can go as high as l60. Who has the better advantage here?

Btw, EZE, as I have been telling here I can lose 5 pounds playing two hours of tennis and i can rehydrate after an hour. I don't feel any weakness or anything. So, what's one pound?

I can give you a pass if your credential is better than Cotto's nutritionist who recommended that he's okay at l45. The secret, dude, is on diet and training. Ask the experts. :deal

    Wow 5lbs. That's amazing!

Go weigh yourself. Play your tennis, but play till you lose 12lbs.

Then when you lose 12lbs. Try to lose another. Then get back to me.

 When you are going to answer my question?

Im not a nutritionist but I know this area considering I helped a friend cut weight for his MMA fights. From 205 to 185.

And Ive read quite a bit on the subject, and learned from my friend who is in college to become a nutritionist as well.

Will Cotto lose 12 pounds in one day? I thought boxers do it gradually. I can do that in a week. Aren't boxers given 3 months to train and do what is necessary like losing weight. Hey, you're looking more and more like fool here. Stop it! :rofl

Your question? You've been dodging my answers for a long time already in this thread as I've kept of repeating them.

I'll answer all the questions Ive "missed" according to you, after you answer mine.

IF the answer is so simple like you make it out to be then why ignore it?

Sure they do it gradually you are right, I jumped the gun after arguing about this all day.

Here's the thing though. I feel 12-13lbs is pushing Cottos limit of how much his body can cut.

We have no clue how much you can cut and rehydrate to and still be fine.

Actually. I told him that if he keeps cutting 20lbs he's going to lose his next fight because he even said himself he's not 100% but feels he is better at 85% than the other guys at 100%.

And what do you know.. he loses his next fight then moves up a weight class.

You're evading my question. How about the one pound? Did you tell him it will hurt his health? Or, do you honestly believe that one pound can hurt Cotto's health? That's actually my point since Cotto's nutritionist said 145 is not bad for him.
