I have picked Cotto to beat Margarito and all indications are that he will, but i had a vision of a weary Cotto rising off the canvas and the ref waving it off because Cotto was unable to continue and Margarito running around the ring celebrating. I am not Hispanic and i am not really a partisan of either fighter just a fan of the sport. I have made the mistake of picking against Cotto before and so I am sticking by my original pick of Cotto by UD, but what if ?

I had a dream this year that the Chargers beat the Pats 28-17 in the playoffs. Guess what? It didn't happen. You broke the first rule of a prophecy, never tell!

First off Margarito is no hype really. He can give any WW a hell of a fight and beat most IMO. Just Cotto not being one of them.

I dont think Cotto will be hitting the canvas unless its an early KD where he is caught cold.

I had a dream too about the fight the other night.

Cotto looked great in the first few rounds, and then just couldnt handle Margarito's pressure he tooked too many hits and looked like he was dying, he was in the corner getting wailed on, I was screaming at the TV to stop the fight but it was obvious the ref didnt want to because he didnt want Cotto to lose but eventually did. I think I was crying out of pity for him too. Margo won a 10th TKO.

I think the only people hyping Margarito these days are the haters and casual fans. No hardcore fan hypes Margarito. They know that he is one dangerous fighter who can give any WW fighter problems. Other than that, he has shown to be human like every other boxer. It's really simple, guys, believe me. :-(

Great post ^. In both Judah and Mosley fights deep inside I felt that Cotto is capable of beating them, I think Margo will be his bigest test of them all, hes diferent animal and I think theres big chance that Cotto will taste his first defeat.

I hope Margarito takes Cotto to the depths of hell in this fight.....a real heat treatment. It will prepare Cotto for the rest of his career.
Only the best for these 2 warriors!

I have a weird feeling that Margo is pull the upset. Now, I don't care for either fighter but would probably rather see Cotto get beat. Maybe its just wishful thinking.

Anyhow, win or lose, this is the kind of fight which could affect Cotto for the rest of his career. I wouldn't be surprized if he's not quite the same fighter after his war On July 26th....
