The books dont know what there doing. thats why I clean they ass up, damn I love living in Vegas. They even had DLH a fav??? HAHAHA Im going for Cotto but I will have a little cash on Clottey
The odds are about right.......they take in consideration that because Clottey is'nt a power puncher, the fight is likely to go to the cards...... This fight is in NewYork Madison square Garden, where they will be backing Cotto bigtime......its really like Cotto fighting in his hometown......he's not going to lose a decision there unless Clottey thoroughly dominates him, which is very unlikely to happen. Clottey imo needs to dominate 8 rounds to get a draw, and 9 for the win......edging close rounds is not going to do, those rounds will go to Cotto. ......its the same type of scenario for Clottey that JMM faces when he fights Pacquiao! ......unfortunately thats boxing.
I bet money on Clottey, the odds are really good and it is worth the risk, even tough Cotto is one of my favourite boxers.
It's a strange line. Pretty much everyone who follows the sport at all agrees that Clottey shouldn't really be a 3-1 dog, yet the line hasn't budged off that number since it came out. I'm going to be rooting hard for Clottey, but I don't think the oddsmakers are giving away a freebie here. Vegas's goal is to balance the action, and everyone throwing a few bucks at Clottey just based on the number is playing right along. I'm leaning toward the Clottey points handicap, and maybe a small shot at a 7-12 KO.
